In IDW's defence, the adverts were all at the back and the issue was still full-length. No harm done. I'm taking a wild stab at this but I think red alerts attempted suicide was more a case that Roberts may not have been able to think of a better reason why red alert would keep overlord under wraps ...

I feel like a real idiot when I go back and go through the threads after reading a new issue. I never pick up on anything the guys here seem to notice!

I like getting it month-by-month as intended, and like Auntie says I just can't wait! Trades must be a nightmare if you've got people on facebook and twitter getting excited when each new issue lands.

Right, sorry, meant to reply to this aaages ago. The panel I was referring to was this: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CTCyhOxWUAASyXB.jpg:large The collection of planets and the symbol in the middle at the time reminded me of the Cybertron animé, which has since become pretty much the basis for ex-RiD...

I looooooooove halloween! And all the silly holidays. I like dressing up and I like excuses for adults to act like children. Never went trick or treating in my life, though :( https://scontent-lhr3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xpa1/v/t1.0-9/12193744_10154328767083508_6928669714618704945_n.jpg?oh=0a05b04f2...

I tweeted about Transformers: Devestation and got favourited by a local Tory Councillor. Not sure how to feel about this. He probably doesn't liek Megatron or Optimus and wanted the Functionists to stay in power. Anyhoo, yeah, picked this up on Friday and fired it up after work yesterday. Haven't pl...

Maybe not in the first two, but in the third one when he was given a bit of material he was good; a bit of bond here, a cheeky twinkle in his eye there and some emotion towards the end, even as he chewed his way through some pretty awful lines.

I can enjoy each of the prequels if they're on, but they don't have the same impact the original trilogy does. I am intrigued to know how much that feeling is shared by laymen or children who grew up with them as their Star Wars films. I've always assumed that us geeks are less forgiving of bad CGI ...

The best thing about the trailer is that it showed enough to make me very excited but not enough to ruin the film. Even though the first trailer was a year ago, two months suddenly feels like way too long.

With skids chatting on the other side of the portal; could it have been referring to the colonies and planets we're seeing in Windblade and not-RiD? I always sort of hope Roberts can steer super clear of that stuff, but presumably he just talk to everyone else.

Anything you found particularly interesting about the experience? Long Answer Short Answer: It was a hell of an experience, and the building was full of palpable history, but I was the wrong person to be properly bothered by it. Sitting alone in a quiet room and reading is my idea of a nice afterno...

I was only in for 24 hours. I'm actually in the process of writing it up for the local paper, but it was quite the experience. Once I've got my thoughts clear in my head, I'll share them.

I'd quite like it if they were all two-parters, as long as that means good cliffhangers and less rushed endings. Before the Flood ... it was alright. I liked the bootstrap paradox stuff at the bookends, I liked the guitar intro, but the bulk of it was pretty much generic Who. Not bad, not great, jus...
