Shame. I was one of the lucky ones who got the Tracey Island THAT year. Huge fan of Thunderbirds, Captain scarlet, Stingray, Joe 90, Space 1999, UFO, even Space Precinct. Always found Terrorhawks a bit scary as a child, and I missed out on Supercar, but still.

Having lived in a so-called 'haunted' house, I am a definite believer in ghosts of some sort. Nothing will shake me in that belief, However, I am a definite athest, and have exactly zero belief in any kind of afterlife. I have no clue how my brain resolves these two ideas. they seem totally at odds ...

how you're all describing zombies is how I'd thought vampires worked, with the viruses and the biting and whatnot. My impression of zombies was that they expressly were magical. I should point out that my first impression was Papa Shango, so that might have something to do with it.

Those're ridiculously generic. Each of those jets has a fairly distinctive design, and the toys seem to get fairly close to that (under-jet kibble issues aside). how are they 'generic'? Edit: Check that, I suppose I was never taking these as anything more than a (very) broad homage to combining jet...

I watched a couple of the shows online in 2006-2009 and liked it very much. Good car reviews of old classics and my favorite fun part was the North Pole expedition. What happened to the show the last 3 year? It changed style? It's been running a wee bit longer than that... it used to be a clip show...

'Entangled' definitely felt like the weakest offering so far. still funny, but nothing laugh-out-loud, and I thought the cat/kryten entanglement was a missed opportunity for some old-fashioned slapstick. still fun though, and still enjoying it

As for Grant-Naylor, I didn't see Rob Grant's name on the credits at all. Was he involved because Doug Naylor was the writer and director. just checked the end credits on episode 2. and not at all because i like to sing along to the theme tune. yup, its a grant-naylor production, though you're righ...

I like the weaponized deluxes for two reasons. firstly, i actively disliked the 'rounded' aesthetic of prime designs. purely a personal thing, but i prefer my car kibble to not bend, fold, and warp, in places it isn't supposed to. the addition of all the spikes and pointy bits makes them look more l...

going back to vegan recipes, my wifes attempts at making baked treats for me (I'm diabetic) have resulted in her discovering that by adding a can of pumpkin (apparently it comes in cans) to a box of sugar-free brownie mix (and NOT adding any oil, egg, or water), you get vegan-diabetic brownies. I ca...

Well I enjoyed it. possibly not the riot of laughs some of the better early episodes have been, but certainly not the 'unfunny' of back to earth (caveat: i did actually enjoy back to earth, red dwarf has always been more than a sitcom, so it was nice to see it lean on its drama-crutch, if only tempo...

well *that* was better, at least in terms of acting. Smith (for me at least) really faulters when he's trying to be angry and grown up, so seeing him being impetuous, childish, and temper-tantrum-y, really seems to suit him. Kingston, for the first time in a while, really didn't annoy me. Gillan was...

i think my biggest gripe with The Power Of Three is why couldn't the whole first half - the invasion of the cubes - have been told as the 'seasons story arc' during the first three episodes, with Asylum, Dinosaurs, and Mercy being told as the adventures than happened *during* the events of Three. it...

I've not looked into it, but I'm pretty certain the Raspberry Pi, a computer designed for children to be able to base-code for it, has more processing power at 30 quid than went to the moon.

A Town Called Mercy - Not bad, and entertaining in and of itself, but beyond 'lets have the doctor vent a bit', and 'lets make the ponds a bit more nervous of him' it's hard to see how this slots into the overall series arc. it definitely did work well as a stand alone episode, which seems to be mor...

I just hate everyone anyway, so the only online/mp games i touch are the ones that don't require any interaction with other players. not much to add to the above, i think i agree with most points raised. The end of Gladiator (I actually think it's the music that gets me there). I can agree with DS9's The Visitor, mostly down to how Todd plays it. A couple of odd moments in doctor who over the years, Donnas mindwipe, Ecclestones regeneration, and the Van Gogh ending. recently went to a big-screen sho...
