Simulated materials, and I don't think he would pass a close inspection. Then again, he was hanging in the Air and Space museum, so a lot of people would be looking closely at him, so I don't know.

Movie Transformers can be lighter than they look, though. A woman picked up Frenzy with no effort.

I remember the days when Nightbeat's flashback was drawn in the style of the artist who drew the original story. That was neat.

Previously he was mostly concerned with Cybertronian tech getting into the wrong hands. Maybe he suspects that. The human mech suits or something? That part could be interesting.

If the spin-offs can't connect with themselves, it's their fault, not the movies. I mean, take this example. Alliance 4: at the end of the comic, Sideswipe, Skids, Mudflap, and Arcee lands, scans alternate modes and goes to Diego Garcia, where Lennox immediately wants to deploy them to Shanghai. Ta...

Sure, for the most part. Except for late script changes. But I don't expect them to not make a script change for the sake of a prequel novel.

I read the prequel stuff before seeing the movie and enjoyed them. In some ways they helped me enjoy the movie, but there was a huge disconnect between the style and continuity. I liked The Veiled Threat in particular. It was more focused on giant robots and it portrayed the NEST team-up between hum...

You remember the whole bit where Soundwave tracked them to Paris? And then when the Decepticons landed one arrives in front of them? And then Starscream tells Rampage to spring the trap? And Rampage then releases his parents to draw Sam out so the Decepticons can mug him for the Matrix? RotF isn't ...

It's not a prequel! Just that fact makes it awesome. Plus it has appliancebots. As long as they don't fart, that's pretty awesome too.

Could be from the new cartoon rather than a Universe thing. Universe is usually a re-imaging of past concepts. "Power core combiner" is something new and they would probably want to give it new fiction.

These Autobots must be fans of the Movie franchise. There is no other reason they would elect Bumblebee. Name recognition. They elected the movie star in a popularity contest.

I like the colors more with time. It might have been a bit better if the orange and blue were a bit more saturated.

That's a pretty awesome setup. I can see Prowl doing that. A lone Decepticon after some energy going to be executed on sight? These aren't Revenge of the Fallen Autobots we're talking about. I can also see the humans doing that, after what happened.

Still can't stand the faces.

I imagine IDW still has the original scripts for Megatron: Origin. It would have been cool and useful if they used the information to clear things up that were simply unclear and indecipherable. But no.

Official ROTF website.

The official ROTF website reveals a lot about the priorities of the film. It is graphics intensive but not very informative. There is no list of voice actors, no list of Transformers. However, there are full biographies of even the smallest cast members.

Is this written in-universe? What I mean is, is the narrator/historian a character in the story? It sounds like it. "Records from before the Great War are scattered and incomplete." So if it is in-universe, the historian doesn't know for sure what Thunderwing's motivations were, but we do ...

Even the worst of Furman's hasn't had me gorging my eyes out like some of AHM/MO/That Avengers thing/Hearts of Steel ect ect... Hearts of Steel gets lumped in with those others? Really? I liked it quite a bit and it doesn't seem to have much in common with those. I know it is all subjective, but I'...

Yea, the Jazz thing was from the toy bios, but Bonecrusher was in Revenge of the Fallen alive and well.

Transformers are hard to kill off for good. Bonecrusher made it. Jazz was eventually patched up and changed his color scheme. Megatron was dead-dead but apparently an AllSpark shard can bring you back with your same personality and memories.

I'm in the middle of Galaxy Force right now. It is the first UT series I've seen. I'm enjoying it. I just sometimes wish when they would put the English names for the characters in the subtitles. Some of them may sound good in Japanese, but in English they just aren't cool. "Live Convoy" &...
