They were once both decepticons scientists but Jetfire was quickly convinced to join the autobots ater h e had been rescued from being frozen in ice for a long time after starscream lost his partner. That was only in the cartoon. In the comic, Jetfir...

Vincent wrote:Why is this line starting to fill up with repaints?
Because it's a secondary line and without repaints it probably wouldn't exist in the first place. Repaints also give it a better chance of existing as a running line instead of lasting 3 waves like the first classics did.

Another thing to keep in mind is that Hot Rod being on that mission instead of Jazz is probably just a plot device to get Hot Rod away from the rest of the team so that he could stay behind on Earth. Of course who knows what the point was of having Hot Rod stay on Earth. Hopefully we'll know sometim...

There's a lot of ridiculous posturing about society in this thread considering all that happened was a guy was asked to change his shirt and he did.

Hot Rod outranks Prowl in Escallation and Prowl outranks Springer in Spotlight: Kup, so his rank is pretty high anyway. Does he actually outrank Prowl? Prowl just says that he doesn't outrank Hot Rod, which could also mean they're the same rank or that Hot Rod is outside of the traditional command ...

But the same Fort Max that wasn't released in RiD was released in Car Robots. Hasbro didn't release it because it failed safety tests, but as far as I can tell that's never stopped Takara from releasing anything. Presumably Japan doesn't (or at the very least didn't) have the same safety requirement...

The Seacons were all plastic. I'm pretty sure die cast was phased out of the original series during the movie line or so, what with a lot of the 1986 toys being released in both die cast and non-die cast versions

It seems the only thing that consistently kills Transformers is author's intent. Not being based on a toy is also generally fatal.

From what i've seen of hasbro TF's i think that's highly unlikely, that they would actually use past experience to work the bugs out of new molds. But that's just my two cents. Just out of curiosity what have you seen from Hasbro that would lead you to believe this? I don't recall any fundamental f...

I'll never understand paying about ten times as much for something just to get it a few months before it comes out, just to have it before everyone else. Especially when it could very well be stolen anyway... I always thought one of the appeals of stolen goods was the fact that they're generally che...

I guess you could make the case that Starscream betrayed Megatron when he went off with Scorponok after Megatron brought him back as a pretender. That may be a rather liberal interpretation of betrayal, though.

Well, G2 follows G1, but you could always just read G1 without G2 and still be fine. Also, there are a few GI Joe issues which serves as a prequel to G2. Issues 138-142 of GI Joe (although 138 doesn't have much Transformers stuff). You can get by without reading the GI Joe issues, but it helps set u...
