Sir Auros' review of: Spychanger Silverstreak

Name: Silverstreak
Function: Gunner
First cartoon appearance: More than Meets the Eye
"I never met a Decepticon I didn't dislike."

Always on overdrive, Silverstreak is an incessant talker whose sharp humor can lighten a tense situations. Formidable weapons and incendiary speed make him an impressive adversary, although the memory of his home-city's destruction has left him with a lasting distaste for war. Equipped with long-range bombing capability and 80,000 volt attack beam.

I was lucky enough to find three of the six G1 Spychangers at my local KB recently and Silverstreak was among them. From the three I have, I think these things are highly overrated and the real draw for them is the rarity rather than exceptional quality, but Silverstreak has ended up being the one I've liked the most.

Vehicle Mode:
Unlike Wheeljack, they did a good job painting Silverstreak even though it's not accurate to the original paint job. I really like the vehicle mode and can't think of a single bad thing to say about it really. The colors look good and the mold is aesthetically pleasing. The rivets on the hood are kind of weird, but they don't detract from the figure much. The paint job really isn't a good reflection of the original (or reissue) colors, but it's still nifty.

Robot Mode:
Silverstreak's robot mode is less pleasing, but it doesn't seem as fragile as Spychanger Wheeljack's. The arms did take me a while to pull out because they were apparently stuck, but after the initial transformation they seem to work fine. The head is honestly very, very ugly and it has some weird sculpting, but at least it's painted and detailed so it's clearly a head. Not a bad spychanger robot mode though.

Transformation: 7 - Spychangers are simple, yet magestic...or something.
Durability: 8 - On par with other spychangers.
Fun: 8 - Fun to roll on the floor, fun to play with in robot mode.
Price: 6 - The prices are highly inflated due to the rarity, but not really worth it unless you can find them cheap.
Overall: 8 - Pretty good as far as Spychangers go and certainly my favorite out of the G1 Spychangers.
