Shadowblade Prime's Review: Sideways

Generation: Armada
First cartoon appearance: Gale
"Efficiency through self-sufficiency."

"SIDEWAYS is a conscientious, ninja-like warrior who races to battle. Disguised as a sports bike he exceeds speeds of 250mph. Mysterious and silent, he reveals little about himself except a fierce drive to confront the enemy and quickly return to CYBERTRON. On Earth, he undergoes a personality change that gives him both a good and a bad side based on Mini-con influence. This split makes him highly unpredictable. It's hard to predict which half of his split personality will win in the end - the good side or the evil side! "

Vehicle Mode: Sideways is a motorbike which is mainly purple with yellow parts and blue headlamps. Being a motorbike he has 2 wheels and the exhaust are missiles which do come off

Robot Mode: Sideways has an interesting robot mode as his minicons transform into heads. As he is duel autobot/decepticon there could not be just 1 logo so Hasbro came up with a very interesting solution. Since he has 2 minicons which can be his head (there is a head already in the main figure) they decided that whatever minicon is attached to him dermines which side he is fighting on. He has 4 powerlink slots of which 2 are active slots which fire out his projectiles. The only complaint I have with the figure is that the legs can be unequal with length if you are not careful and that it looks like he is tilting a bit.

Hook and Crosswire: Sideways has 2 minicons: hook and Crosswire. On my sideways hook represents his good side and crosswire the evil side. Both transform to become his head hence why sideways is a headmaster and both can combine to form a super robot mainly used as sideways rider in vehicle mode. The only complaint here is that Hasbro has put enough detail into the robots I think but drop me a line if you disagree. (teknoblade3442@aol.com)

Transformation: 7 a bit tricky at first and that it has to be right to fit all the parts together.
Durability:8 the only thing that can be lost are the projectiles and that the figure is very sturdy.
Fun:7 colour schemes alright but mincons when they form the heads stick out like a sore thumb.
Price: 9 for £9.99 UK price ($9.99 US price) you get a figure with 2 mincons not bad I say .
Summary: 7/10 the price is good the design overall good and they a re few complaints from me. The weak spot for this is the mincons design when they are headmasters. .
