The many heads of Prowl

All the various interpretations of Prowl's heads in Hasbro's and Takara's toylines, the G1 cartoon and comic books by Marvel, Dreamwave and IDW
Notes: Toy-wise, I only count heads that were designed with the intention to make the toy a new version of the "Prowl" character from the get-go, thereby excluding repaints of other toys that just happened to be named "Prowl" (e.g. Spychanger Prowl or Micromaster Prowl), as well as toys that were simply tacked on with the "Prowl" name (e.g. Robots in Disguise Prowl or Energon Prowl).

Takara's patent for the original G1 Bluestreak toy (which shares its head sculpt as well as most of the rest of its mold with the original G1 Prowl toy) designed by Kouzin Ohno, taken from the European Patent Office website.

The 2002 Takara Prowl reissue, also used for the 2003 Hasbro reissue. Since the Prowl reissue presumably shares the mold for the head sculpt with the Streak/Silverstreak reissue, the mold degradation present on the latter toy's head can also be noticed on Prowl's head. In addition, just like in Streak/Silverstreak's case, it seems that an inferior, more glossy plastic type was used for the reissue as compared to the original G1 toy.

More detailed control drawing for the head sculpt of the Binaltech/Alternators Prowl toy also used as part of a color guide (the smaller, full body image still depicted the originally planned Red Alert head, despite being colored like Prowl's head), shown as part of an early preorder sheet for the Binaltech Prowl toy sent to online retailers.
