The many heads of Jazz/Meister

All the various interpretations of Jazz' (or Meister's) heads in Hasbro's and Takara's toylines, the G1 cartoon and comic books by Marvel, Dreamwave and IDW
Notes: Toy-wise, I only count heads that were designed with the intention to make the toy a new version of the "Jazz" character from the get-go, thereby excluding repaints of other toys that just happened to be named "Jazz" or "Autobot Jazz" (e.g. Spychanger Autobot Jazz).

A slightly off-character rendition of Jazz in the G1 cartoon with ridiculously over-emphasized horns, taken from the pilot episode "More Than Meets the Eye, Part 3".
An early model for Jazz, taken from the Japanese Transformers G1 Characters Archives book, presumably one of the designs which would be further simplified by Floro Dery.

The Generation 2 Jazz toy from 1993. With this release, the mold for the head sculpt started to degrade, and the mouth would slowly turn into a weird smirk.
The card artwork for the Generation 2 re-release of the Jazz toy. Presumably, this was redrawn or traced from the G1 box artwork.

The 2002 Takara Meister (Jazz) reissue, also used for the 2003 Hasbro "Autobot Jazz" reissue. The mold degradation that started with the G2 release has continued even fourther, with the chin-strap now completely gone and the mouth distorted into an ugly smirk. Takara would finally fix the mold for the 2004 Stepper reissue, which got also released by Hasbro as "Ricochet" around the same time.
The e-hobby exclusive gold chromed version of Meister (Jazz), released as a companion piece to the 2002 Takara reissue of the toy. Supposedly, the gold color is meant to represent Jazz as he looked in the season 2 cartoon episode "The Golden Lagoon". The smirk from the degraded mold is still present on this version.

The prototype for the unreleased Binaltech/Alternators (Autobot)Jazz/Meister toy, shown in the Japanese The Transformers Binaltech & TF Collection Complete Guide book. Note how the head is still a lot more closely based on the original 1984 toy's head than what the Mazda RX-8 "Meister" toy's head would end up like.
