Cybertron

The homeworld of the Transformers, Cybertron is an ancient world. Although it is an artificial world in many ways, the planet has its own unique geography. Those geographic boundaries often translate into the political boundaries of Cybertron's many city-states as well.

After Cybertron was liberated from the Quintesson armies who had taken over the world, Autobot and Decepticon forces quickly regained control of their traditional territories. Iacon and Polyhex were quickly reestablished as the factions' respective capitals, while the city of Protihex became the site of a neutral commune of sorts. After the return of Megatron, the Decepticon city-states found themselves further divided between those loyal to Megatron and those still loyal to Gigatron.
