Tzai Industries

A multinational corporation engaged in severely illegal and immoral activities, Tzai Industries is headquartered in Iacon. Taking advantage of the poverty and lawlessness of the Autobot capital's border regions, the Tzai has grown into a massive, wealthy conglomerate with influence in many key industries. Founded by Banzaitron, they are dedicated to raking in as many shanix as possible no matter what they have to do to get it.

Common knowledge is that Tzai Industries started off as a fledgling company ran by group of unknown mechanoids who pooled their resources to together to form the conglomerate known as Tzai Industries. In truth however, Tzai Industries’ origins are founded in severely immoral and illegal activities.

Following the Reclamation, a time of planet wide instability, former Mayhem Attack Squad member Banzaitron set his sights on Iacon’s Border Region district. During this period, Cybertron itself was still in the process of rebuilding itself following Quintesson rule. Many cities throughout the planet underwent a temporary economic recession - the Border Regions in particular was hit hard during this period, resulting in the district’s current economic system deeply rooted in crime and illegitimate business. Since resource allocation sanctions had yet to be re-established on Cybertron, Banzaitron quickly pooled in vast amounts of resources through his then newly formed organization, simply known as “The Tzai” at the time. The Tzai tactics ranged from a business minded methodology to mafioso-styled bullying, and had little reservations against murder.

A local Border Region “community center” known as Peacekeepers Inc. would eventually come to play a major role in the Tzai’s rise to power. Founded by the renegade Axer, Peacekeepers original aims were towards activism and community aid, since Border Region people were disproportionately poor. But, like all Border Region businesses, Peacekeepers would quickly become entangled with the Region’s corrupt economic system and syndicate activities in order to survive. However, by chance this move would end up strengthening Peacekeeper’s ties to the Border Region community. Recognizing this as a potential prospect, the Tzai invested its resources into Peacekeepers in order to strengthen its’ own growing public image - thus, a merger was formed. It was here when all of the Tzai’s subsidiary businesses and Peacekeeper’s Inc. merged to form the conglomerate, Tzai Industries. As a result, the Tzai’s roster had grown exponentially, with a majority of the Border Region population standing behind the corporation. Banzaitron then isolated himself from public view, registering the corporation under various aliases and dummy businesses.

Since its inception, the Tzai has acquired its vast wealth and resources through both illegal and legal means, with influence in many key Cybertronian industries, in particular raw materials. Over sixty percent of Border Region property is owned by Tzai Industries, where the company has slowly begun large scale development projects. The Tzai continues to regulate the Region’s crime- based economy, despite its nearly immaculate public image. Also, due to the company's size, most of the Tzai's dirtier deeds are administered by Banzaitron's closest associates rather than by the Tzai founder himself.

Currently Tzai Industries Headquarters is located in Iacon's business district in the Tzai Industry Holdings building. Most notably, the company also owns a law firm, which handles the company’s legal matters, and presumably the reason why the company has an immaculate public record.

Though the company has received almost no resistance from the Border Region community, it has not stopped competing Border Region syndicates from muscling in on rackets that the Tzai currently monopolizes. One in particular was known as the Metacarpus, a once rival organization to the Tzai. After a long and violent turf war, the two organizations began to consider peace negotiations. However, talks of peace would be quickly quashed during a meeting of Tzai and Metacarpus hopefuls, when a group of Metacarpus malcontents assassinated a of group of Tzai diplomats during negotiations. This move would prove fatal to the Metacarpus however, as this would lead to the events referred to as the “Internecion”. In a violent reprisal, the Tzai systematically wiped-out the Metacarpus, including its five key directors. At the forefront of this Tzai-lead massacre was Banzaitron’s steady right-hand, Axer, and his student/bodyguard, Blades.
