the swift is one of my fave small cars, so glad to be getting a red bee (ie cliffjumper), as i see red ones of these all the time locally (the dealership got a supply of red ones with white sports stripes). i'm not overly keen on the transformation, the huge belly never made much sense without the g1 mass-shifting to shrink it a bit. even the classics suffered for it, imho.
but yeah, good to see more from alternity

also, assuming that they're keeping these things to the same scale, why is he $49.99 for what would have to be a smaller figure? I know bbts never exactly undercharge, but $10 up from alternity prime (when we know from megatron that they're apparently using less die cast on these things now) is a bit bonkers.

Aye, `tis dreck. It's as if they're hoping people have forgotten Classics Bumblebee and buy this instead.

But then the transformation wouldn't be [probably] insanely complicated with the chance of things breaking whilst you try and work out how they fit back together, as all realistic vehicle alt modes designed by Takara have to be. It's the law.Cliffjumper wrote:Mmm, surely it'd make more sense to scale up the Classics layout and up the detail, articulation etc?
Seriously, I'm sure that "how many swear words can we get people to utter whilst turning it back" is an actual criteria used in the design process.

The car mode is a good match for Bumblebee. Still, it appears a bit of a fail. Perhaps it will not look so obvious when painted but the seams in car mode just scream for attention more than I like in my Transformers. The Robot mode looks like an egg on stubby legs. Bumblebee as a jolly rolly polly bot is acceptable, this is too much.
All my opinions.
