Wow. Things have certainly changed since I was a kid.

Back then, the comic you bought off the rack was the finished product, not the beta.

I think they're just trying to get the people who bought the monthly issues to go out and also buy the collected edition...

I really don't care if they bring back Earth-2.

I've bought every issue of Invincible, but I still bought the hardcovers, because they were full of concept sketches, promotional materials, and script-like extras.

Same with Astonishing X-men.

Toss in a few good extras, and people will buy, even if they've already got every issue to date. There's really no need to change the storyline to that degree.

So, infinite Crisis was planne dout years in advance to solve all continunity issues an retcons and within months it has been, retconned. Great fecking work. They should have done 1 issue with "The Silver age is here again. Forget everything which contradicts that" and be done with it.

It's **** like this that makes DC completely inaccessible. If you bought Infinite Crisis and managed to comprehend the utter fanwank within, well, your copy of the story is no longer the canon version of events.
