I personally consider the G1 comic/cartoon and BW/BM to be an interconnected continuity through my own theories. If you wish to know how, they've been posted on other sections of the board.

I personally subscribe to the theory that Megatron built the G1 Constructions to honour those who built him ages ago. They later betrayed him and joined the Autobots, but were reprogrammed by Megatron out of spite when he'd developed his reprogramming machine. And Omega's story kicks in from there.

Not without clichéd, Lost in Space styled jetpacks. And for it to work, they must be clichéd!!!
