I can go all political and say it seems mighty odd that the Dems do a pretty good showing in the primaries and now this happens. But I won't go off on that.

All I can say is at least if it was going to occur thankfully it has not.

Are you suggesting that our airports are in absolute chaos just to redress some political balance in America?

Of course. Didn't you know that the Republicans have ties with Cobra? That's going to be the Dem's platform for '08, since "lets get Bush out of office" didn't work so good in '04. Maybe if their candidate had more charisma than a block of wood . . .
Relax, jr politicians. I realize they had an actual platform. They just did a piss job of presenting it.
Yeah, I'm not voting this time. Every time I do, I get called for jury duty.

It's a bad thing, in that I have to take time out of my day for it (including having to get up earlier than I would, had I been going to work), they don't really give a damn if I don't have a car and have to inconvenience others to get there, and for all the trouble I have to go through to get there and sit around with nothing to do all day, they won't even so much as buy lunch for me (if not for my employer, I wouldn't even get paid for the day). So yeah, it's something that I'd rather avoid if I can.

Actually, one of my friends had a great idea. Rather than forcing people to show up when they'd rather not be there, they could ask for volunteers. There are plenty of masochists out there, who would love to sit on a jury.

And they're the exact sort of people who shouldn't be allowed to.

Perhaps. More or less, I'm referring to the people, who are interested in learning about the legal process and actually give a slag. All in all, as long as it's not me, I'm cool with it.

Actually, what bugs me the most about this is the CBC and CNN are making it out like this was the only planned terrorist act since 2001.

"Well it's the 5-year anniversary of 9/11 so they obviously wanted it to be big."

"This was obviously Al-Qaeda trying to do more damage around the same time as they did it the first time."

Because you know Al-Queda is now sitting around in their caves going "****! They ****ed up the plan! That was our only plan! **** me! Now what do we do? Yo, al-Masri you got anything? No? **** why didn't we have more than one plan! I knew we should have done more after 9/11!"

It's like they have completely forgotten about the terrorists arrested in Canada not even 4 months ago. Or the London bombings last year. Not even factoring in how many plots are apparently thwarted each day.

It seems like they are just making a big deal out of it just because it is close to election time, not so much that they made it happen because it's close to election time.

Nah it just seemed odd that they found the terrorists this time.
But it is indeed a good thing.

I just want to see American's claiming they did MI5's work.

And Blaster that is some funny ****.

Our big channels here and radio all came across as it being nearly entirely England. Guess they were in contact with the security groups here since last December, but the England force was given the credit. :)
