Central Core, Fort Max:
Chromedome: -now holding the laser core chamber by himself, guiding it in- "I've got it, Hardhead. Go see what they want you for."
Hardhead: -nods, heads out-
Minerva: -checking connections- "We're almost ready here. How's it going on your end, Fixit?"
Fixit: "Everything's hooked in. And the connections are solid."
****************
Command Deck, Fort Max:
Fortress: -locks the last chip into position-
Ironhide: -sighs in relief as the muzak cuts out- "Beginnin' ta think Ah wuz gonna have ta break somethin'."
Fortress: "We're not out of the woods yet. Metroplex needs those chips installed as well."
Ironhide: "Figgered as much." -activates commlink- "Red, didja get those chips we sent over?"

Fort Max: Briefing Room 3
Skyfire eyed the data contemplatively with a hand on his chin. Geography was one of his specialties as an explorer, and the data as Overdrive presented it all added up. Still, Skyfire was hesitant to speak.
"It seems probable," he agreed with a withdrawn softness.
Suddenly, the conference room was gone, and all Skyfire could see was white whizzing past him, around him, toward him. The panic welled up inside as he spiralled out of control. A moment, a flash of pain, and then there was silence. It didn't last long; he decided after the first two orns that he wouldn't be rescued, and that he would do best to shut himself down. But the darkness still seemed eternal.
And as suddenly, the room was back and the terror over. Skyfire glanced around the table apprehensively, wondering if he had done anything visible to betray his daydream to the others. He decided that, either way, he should contribute something to the meeting.
"If we are to be the scout team to locate the missing cities, our aerial units should be prepared for ill flying conditions," he surmised with synthetic objectivity that failed to perfectly mimic his usual soft-speaking demeanour.

Command Deck, Metroplex
Hubcap held his chin in one hand, bored.
This command thing sure gets old fast...
From what he'd seen of his commanders, the Minibot had always assumed that leadership was...well, interesting. Making decisions, giving orders, reading reports...always something to keep you busy. But so far, all he'd to do was watch as the rest of the city's ad hoc crew carried out their menial duties.
Maybe my regular gig isn't so bad...at least I have time for grifting, then...
He glanced over to Backstreet at the comms station.
"Picking up anything interesting on the airwaves?" he asked, more out of bordom than because he actually expected any trouble.

Fort Max, Briefing Room 3
"Me no care 'bout flying conditions," Swoop interjected slamming his fists down on the table dramatically. He had to slow the conversation down, before he fell behind in comprehending the mision. Although he was arguably the smartest Dinobot, he was still quite a bit behind most autobots when it came to general intelligence. However, his confidence often times hid any deficiencies he may have otherwise shown.
"Swoop say we go to place. If Decepticons there, good. If not, look somewhere else," he decided as he still thought that he was in command of the mission. Looking around to see if everyone understoof the orders, he had a strange feeling when he saw all of the blank optics staring back, that maybe he wasn't in charge after all.

Beachcomber continued on his mission to find a new home for the field mice.

Overdrive replied
" a good point Skyfire and I have booked you all into the medbay for modifications to suit the conditions we wil encounter. You will be fitted with a devie that will damp your infra red signature making you harder to track, you will recieve artic camouflage and cold running gear."
Overdrive thumped the table
"listen to Skyfire he has more experience in those kind of conditions than the rest of us put together."

Main Entrance, Metroplex
Catilla entered the newly rebuilt city, following Getaway and inquiring gruffly as he got inside the turbolift and sat down "What's this about anywhere?"

Fort Max Command Deck
Cliffjumper wandered into the room, then he leant against the wall next to the door silently for a few moments before piping up "There anything to do around here?"

Fort Max Briefing Room 3
Sandstorm sat up straight, listening to Overdrive carefully, then he turned his attention to Skyfire as the larger flyer spoke up about preparing for this mission, wanting to say "No need, guys, you know me, the bigger the risk, the more I like it" but falling silent at the small confrontation between Overdrive and Swoop.

"So now I'm asking more of you than I have before. Maybe all. Sure as I know anything, I know this, they will try again. Maybe on another world, maybe on this very ground swept clean. A year from now, ten? They'll swing back to the belief that they can make people better. And I do not hold to that. So no more runnin'. I aim to misbehave" - Captain Mal Reynolds

Sizzle arrived out of breath, snuck in and got a quick update from Guzzle.
(OOC cheers.)

Fizzle continued to re-evaluate the tactical analysis he had run earlier.

Backstreet replied to Hubcap.
Backstreet:" Nothing important, sir. I tracked Cosmos, and then Groundshaker in their trip into Earth orbit. I confirmed with Fort Max and it's all clear. No more contacts."

Fort Max Briefing Room 3
Dogfight was clearly excited by Overdrive's briefing and their inminent mission.
Dogfight:" Sir, and what teams you'll dispatch?", asked to the Omnibot Comander.

Command Deck, Fort Max:
Ironhide: -optics seeming to defocus slightly for a moment- "Naw, Cliffjumper, it's been.... well, Ah wouldn't say quiet. Quiet compared ta whut it's been lahke lately." -points at the patch cables leading from his arm to the console- "Whut Ah cain't figger out is awl these channels devoted ta fishin'......"

Medbay, Fort Max:
Nightbeat: -cautiously opens CR chamber door, hearing no more muzak, sighs, heads out of medbay, pulls cyclone cannon out of subspace, gives it an experimental shake, sighs as he hears it rattle omniously, activates commlink- "Crosshairs, this is Nightbeat. Do you read me? I need to have my gun fixed."
********************
"Wrecker's Bay", Metroplex:
Roadbuster: -still going over the profiles, chuckles- "You know that raving fruitloop has all of these files checked off as potential 'dnagerous elements'?" -sighs- "I'd go with the Dinos, but we need more brain power......."
----------------
Overdrive's team meeting:
Hardhead: -walks in, takes seat-
**********************
Central Core, Metroplex:
Chromedome: -with a grunt, slide the laser core into place-
Fixit: -looking up at the Master Star Autobot- "I'd love to get a look at the specs to your transector."
Chromedome: -shakes head- "We're not that different, really. My personality center is simply located in my actual body. The big difference seems to be that we lack the memory circuits in our torsos."
Minerva: -starting to enter startup codes into Metroplex's core- "And your transectors are optimized for combat. Even Brainstorm's."
Chromedome: -nods- "True. Although Brainstorm himself isn't Captain Combat, he can handle himself in a fight."
Minerva: "Well, you guys did have that training program. Only the best made it, right?"
Chromedome: -nods- "Right."
**********************
Exterior, Fort Max:
Brainstorm: -transforms mid air, head connecting to body, lands, walks in the main entrance, heading for the bridge-

Briefing room 3 Overdrive recaps for the late arrivals
"The idea is not to get caught but it is always a possibility thats why I chose you all most of you either have experience or are armed in your alt mode, This is not a raid , however if needs be we will have to pick off some outlying defences to escape. If we do get discovered the Cons will probably move the cities and all our effort will be for nothing .
Thats where our aerial friends come in I have had prepared a special bomb load mixed in with the high explosives are thousands of tiny transmitters.
We distract the other defences while they drop their bomb load on the cities that way we can track them and hopefully mixed in with the bombs they will go unoticed and if not there will be enough of them to make the Cons use a lot of resources to remove them.

Hoist looked into Seaspray."Oh..It's really messy here some screws aren't in their place and the wires are twisted and...hey! what this...a seaweed?!I think you should transform after I finish with your head."Then Hoist walked deep into the med bay to find some more tools.

Cave in the Wilderness
Pipes and Bumper creeped silently down the cave tunnel, flashlights shining out in front of them. The tunnel narrowed until they had to walk in single file and crouch over slightly just to fit. The ebullient Pipes was silent for once, all business at the moment. Suddenly the tunnel opened up and they could walk two abrest again.
The cave opened more and more until they were in a large cavern, their lights shining off the surface of an underground lake and sparkling in crystals set all along the walls and ceiling. And there, some small distance away, along the shore of the lake was the recumbent form of Outback.
There was no sign of life in him, and there was something leaning over his torso trying to open his chest plate.
"HEY!" Pipes shouted and ran towards the dark figure. He tossed his flashlight on the ground, and its light partly shone on Outback's upper body. Pipes drew the guns from his waist and fired two shots at the figure before reholstering them and crashing into it. The two rolled into the darkness in a struggle as Bumper rushed to catch up.

Briefing romm 3
Guzzle perked up at the idea of taking on the Decepticon city alongside two other well armed Autobots.
Sizzle raised his hand and asked "Where do the non-heavy, non-aerial types fit in boss? I aint escorting cargo again, that you can leave to Pipes and his mates: they seem to enjoy it."
Fort Max Command deck
Cosmos transmission comes through, along with video of the errant decepticon city commander in planetfall "Well, we know what happened to the sattelites now."

Metroplex, Command Deck
Backstreet recived too Cosmos' transmission telling about Astrotrain' planetfall.
" Whats going on?", he thought," maybe I should try and see if I can track the descent of this Decepticon."
Despite the current status of Metroplex various systems which where still being checked and the lack of some satellites, Backstreet was able to face some sensors arrays towards Cosmos signal, hoping to detect Astrotrain heat signature.
Backstreet:" Hubcap, sir, I think I have something, but not sure for how long."

Command Deck, Fort Max
Hubcap quickly found that the universe had obliged him in his quest for something useful to do. The Minibot frowned as he heard a chirping come from the comm station, then stood and strode over to it.
"Hosehead to anybody," the transmission said, "Is anybody going to come out here and get us?"
With an overdramatic sigh, the yellow Minibot opened a channel.
"Hosehead, this is Hubcap. I've...uh...got no clue where you are or what you're talking about. Care to fill me in?"
Moments later he heard Backstreet's report.
"Keep tracking him as long as you can," he said. "He's probably going back to base, but it won't hurt to make sure."
Almost as an afterthought, he added smoothly, "And thank Cosmos for a job well done, please."

Crosshairs hit the bay's comm panel with a little bit more vigour than was necessary.
"Nightbeat, I'm over at Metroplex sorting though a truckload of weapons supplies that just got carted in. You can head down, but it might take a while before I can get to your job."

Turbolift, Metroplex
Getaway shrugged in answer to Catilla.
"Red Alert wanted to see us. It's a bit hard to guess what he's up to, but I expect it's going to be a standard debriefing."

Wrecker Meeting, Metroplex
Whirl looked over Roadbuster's shoulder.
"Fifteen shanix says that Red's listed himself as a 'potentially dangerous element', too."

ooc: sorry for the absence- our family had a funeral to attend.
Under cover, Hound took Camshaft and Wheeljack across a ford in the river on the Canadian border. The scout quickly adjusted his speed to kilometers as they crossed, to divert any unneeded attention. After several hours of traveling, the group neared the city of Quebec, and Hound pulled into the parking garage of a 7 story hotel.
"All right - here we are! Up to the top and we should be able to get a good clear view for readings."

Inferno chuckled and headed for Red Alert's security command office. He was in a good mood, and feeling a little energetic as he passed through Metroplex's corridors.

Cave in the Wilderness
Bumper shone his flashlight with one hand, holding his laser pistol in the other. He tried desperately to keep the light on the forms of Pipes and the dark stranger, but they were tangled together and rolling back and forth, too erratic to keep the light on for more than a second.
Pipes grunted loudly "huah!" and there was the sound of metal hitting metal. The dark figure sailed past Bumper and crashed into the stone wall. Bumper shone his light on the dark figure- it was crouched against the wall. Something appeared in each fist, looking something like cybertronian gauntlets. There was a hum and a flicker, and the gauntlet in the figure's left hand generated a circular energy field that completely covered the figures crouched form. The gauntlet in the right hand hummed and flickered, and a erergon sword blade appeared, sticking out threateningly from the edge of the shield.
"Oh boy," Bumper said, as Pipes got up and charged again.
