[Original RPG] Edge of the Abyss: WRECKED!(the Ark)

[Sixswitch]

"Me too," Sixswitch replied. "Not likely to be natural. But we'll get the chance to look into that once they've finished down there."

He leapt down to the rocks where Springer was sitting, then transformed into robot mode.

"So where do we go after we sort this mess out?" he asked the Wrecker Leader

[StoneCold Skywarp]

"Hopefully 'Old King Cole' will decide that this place is too dangerous for his 'merry old men' and march them back to Autobase and Prime..."

Springer mentally spat, the name causing a massive distaste in his mouth.

"...and we won't have to go anywhere. Failing that we need somewhere that's out of the way. Any thoughts?"

[Aero Blade]

"Working on it," Aero replied to Skyfall, busily working on his consol in the command center. He hadn't been able to get chance to work on any of the other damaged areas around there yet, so he was working on using the one consol to bypass to everything.

Down below the ship, after a moment or tow the shield flickered a bit as the redirected energy accumulated, then solidified as it took form again.

[Sixswitch]

Sixswitch shrugged.
"I've only been on Earth about six minutes," he replied light heartedly. "I arrived during that battle against Metrotitan here at the Ark, and then we left for Cybertron, and I've hardly been back."

He pondered for a minute.

"You know what? Now that the Decepticons know that we plan to use the Ark, it may not be the best place to stick a base anyway."

[StoneCold Skywarp]

"Maybe, but I reckon after all this the cons wouldn't think any autobots, let alone four wrecklooses would stick around."

Springer shifted a little as the ground around them rumbled under the force of the lava.

"And besides, they only know that the 'Neos' are here, not the actual Wreckers, for all they know we were responding to a call for help. I think we should wait this out and see what happens."

[Sixswitch]

"Yeah, that makes sense. I'm happy to stay for now, and see how this pans out," Sixswitch agreed.

"Besides, we're gonna need someplace to make camp, and Whirl and I did take a fair few weapons from Fortress Maximus's armoury before we left."

[StoneCold Skywarp]

"If all else fails, we salvage what's left here and find a cosy cave somewhere. By the looks of things this isn't gonna be too hospitable for much longer."

Springer shielded himself from some lava that spat up.

"Anyone would think we're not wanted..."

[Reflector]

Jazz chuckled softly at his own misfortune. He'd shut off his pain receptors; it was easy to see the humor in his pitiful situation and the terrible mess he'd made of himself.

"Y'know, Skyhammer, that ain't too bad an idea. That bruiser who muscled me was one a' those guys, and I hardly scratched 'im... Say doc, think you could put together a shell for me?"

Jazz released a small sigh as the welding that attached him to the floor gave way, though his fried servos would not allow him to stand on his own.

Yes , they are pretty useful , i managed to hold my own against Stranglehold.

I FEEL BAD it was my fault they got on the Ark , if you hadn't let me in the shields wouldn't have been down. I let you all down.

Skyhammer looks dejected his optics flaring blue

[Warcry]

Whirl accepted the energy that Skyfall was shunting into his weapon, and the spherical stasis field that his paralyzo-box was casting began to grow in radius. The magma outside the field began to grow more and more violent as that which was inside it grew cooler.

"Well, at least it's doing something."

Blobs of magma belched from the pool, some hitting the shield, others arcing and slamming into the Ark's hull plating. The hull smoked where the blobs hit.

[Brave Maximus]

Skyfall nodded as he looked at the readings. The Omega Shuttle was pretty well protected against Magma blobs, but the Wreckers on the outside weren't.

"It's working Whirl! We've got a 6 foot diamiter area of cold rock that seems to be about 4 feet thick at this moment - more than enough to plug the volcano at that depth. And it's growing! At this rate, it should only take 10 minutes. I'm giving you more power: 80%...... 85%......... 90%........ It's looking like you're having the start of an overload in the circuts....... It can take it for a little while anyway.....


"Starlight, Ark, Nemesis and Stratus, you may want to duck in behind the Omega - or better yet, come in here until this is over."

The minicons of the Space Defence team headed down and entred the Omega in base form from behind:

"Springer, Sixswitch - you may want to keep on your toes, this might get a little worse until that plug triples or more in size.

[Sixswitch]

Sixswitch grinned.
"Nothing like some liquid hot magma to test your reflexes eh?" he joked to Springer. Nevertheless, he scrambled a few metres further up the rockface, hopefully above the height the magma would spring to.

"OK, we'll find cover. Let us know if the magma level gets near our position," he replied over the radio to Skyfall.

"Not here?"Warpath open comlink"Jazz nothing to repair right!"

[StoneCold Skywarp]

"Think they'd grumble if I went and surfed the ark?"

Springer stood up, the molten lava glowed red hot beneath him, shimmering off the yellow of his chest plate. Springer listened to Sixswitch's communication.

"What, your eyes not work now? Hell, failing that, soon as you can't feel your legs, the lava's too close..."

[Warcry]

Whirl cranked up the power farther, and felt his paralyzo-box begin to grow warm against his armour.

"We've got about thirty seconds before fuses start popping, Skyfall. Give me everything you've got."

"Don't blame yourself you didn't know the 'Cons were coming, and you know they're not the types to knock and say Can we come in, pleaseeeee?" Astra replied, glancing at Skyhammer and moving to support Jazz on his other side "Let's get him outside until the all-clear is given"

Skyhammer allowed his optics to flare yellow as Astra cheered him up

" Your right Your average Con is more cunning than a turbofox with a degree in cunnning from Iaacon Institute of Higher Learning ,they would have found some way in , I guess . "

Co-ordinating his movements with Astra he helped her escort Jazz to Safety

[Hyper Prime]

"Uh..." Countdown slowly opened his optic coverings to be seeing the ceiling of the medbay. Coming back online, he sat up to find himself lying on a med-table. "Wh... what the frag... wait, what happened to the Decepticons? Skyfall? Astra? Jazz? Where is everyone?" To find out, Countdown shoved himself off the table and onto the ground. He slowly transformed and puttered out of the medbay into the halls.

Jazz extended his arms up to Astra and Skyhammer as fluently as he could, though his left elbow was defunct and his right shoulder was weak. He knew he could do no more than hang onto them as they dragged him out of the way; he was glad he was relatively light.

"Dang straight, Hammer. Heck, we use'ta have everything short a' the Berlin Wall outside this place, and they'd still manage to get in..."

Jazz remained unaware of Warpath's attempts to contact him, as his radio was still out of order.

Skyhammer had no idea what the reference was but felt better that Jazz didn't hold him responsible , with a mental command he brought his inner shell down beside them , in hover jet mode . Looking over at .Astra he enquired :

" What do you think .Astra , we could strap him down in the cockpit he'd be much more comfortable".
