I just read this and I'm personally outraged by this decision by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). I don't see why they just can't offer the Montserratians the chance to become full blown US citizens if they've already been here for this long. Instead, they're now being kicked out of the country for the most BS reason I ever saw by the DHS.

In my geology class we watched footage of the eruption. The pyroclastic flows laid waste to everything in their paths.

Heartless action coming from an organization that does not even sound like an american government insititution. What happened to American security? Homeland seems so narrow, like a specific yard or acre is only to be protected.

That's just f*cked!

They use the example of Bosnians returning to Yugoslavia after the war, but that's completely different! The Bosnians still had a home to return to and one that wasn't still under threat. These not only have nothing but have to worry about it occuring again.
