Newbie Introduction
Hey everyone,
I'm new to this board (of course) and must say that it along with this entire site have become one of my favs as of late. Now a little about myself. I've been a diehard TF fan since the beginning. Yes, all the way back in '84 when I was only 8. I remember actually hating the Transformers at first, seeing as I had become a loyal supporter of the GoBot cause (stupid kid logic.) Well all it took was watching the first episode of the old G1 cartoon to convert me over permenantly.
As for today my favorite medium for the TF's are the comics both old and new. I was never a big comics fan back in the day but I am now and have been keeping up with the Infiltration arc as well as going back and collecting as much of the old Marvel and Dreamwave stuff as possible (Brad Mick along with Simon Furman are the two writers who I follow.)
I'm not a huge fan of the stuff that's come out post-Beast Machines. R.I.D had some of the coolest TF designs ever. But the show, with it's ultra-Japanese styled goofy approach left things pretty empty for me. Armada in my opinion was the biggest piece of crap in the ENTIRE history of the TFU. Energon was actually decent in my eyes and my favorite of the new stuff. Cybertron, from what I've seen leaves alot to be desired. Though I must say after laying eye's on that new Primus figure I might need to give this series another shot.
Anyway as you've probably noticed I like many others are extremely loyal to the G1 continuity (which for me includes G2, Beast Wars/Machines.) But I am very open to most things TF (not Armada. Never Armada.) I look forward to some good discussions with veterans as well as fellow newbs of this board.
Here's to ya!
P.S. I saw the post about old and/or tired topics. Look I'd like to talk about some of this stuff with others and don't want to whip anybody. So if I happen to bring up one these topics just please stay away if you're beaten down by it. I don't have any desire to step on anyone's toes but I don't like to have mine stepped on I can assure you of that. What I'm trying to say is that off the bat everyone has my respect and all I ask is for the same in return.

That is the nicest introduction that I have ever read-Welcome!
Edit: ~Scout. Sassy, please don't quote whole, very lengthy posts for one-line responses.
