Heres a few ideas for character bios of the latest Armada figures.
Hoist
When the Autobot hero Smokescreen went into battle against the Decepticons he had no chance against the ruthless and maniacal foe that left him for dead. Finding a spark of life in his shattered and irreparable frame, Red alert reanimates Smokescreen as Hoist a new and more powerful warrior among the ranks of the Autobots. Set out to make his own name Hoist vows vengeance focusing his energies and devoting his time seeking out the warrior who attacked and destroyed him.

Overload
When the Mini con ship left for earth one individual aboard was unhappy with the exodus and his given role in forming a new society, he left the ship in a shuttle and landed on a well hidden moon, out of the reach of the Decepticon iron fist. After a long time a powerful Autobot warrior crashed in his ship, he was dying Rollout used all available resources to restore the fallen fighter, the unique circumstances and unique skills at Rollouts disposal forced him to bond with the Autobot. Though they share minds, the Autobots memories are scrambled, his identity unknown. With him back fighting alongside Optimus Primes unit, he may yet learn his identity.

Wheeljack
Long ago, an Autobot fighter called Wheeljack entered Autobot Headquarters fresh out the academy ready for anything. He joined a special ops unit ready for anything, he formed a bond with a small band and together they went on successful missions and fought side by side. To his horror the day came when the individual he respected the most betrayed him to his enemies, spared the fate of so many allies he fought with, Wheeljack shunned the Autobots, their ways and became bitter. He trained with his new allies in his quest for revenge.

Tidal wave
A powerful Decepticon fighter arrives on Earth from the state games on Cybertron. He is called Tidal wave, a force of nature among all cybertronians. With the eerie silence of his movements, his limited vocabulary, his mightiest weapon being his power of looming, the violence and malevolence radiates off Tidal wave. He is a titan in robot mode, he bolsters the power of Megatron with a unique combining transformation and able to multi task a sea faring war fleet known as Dark fleet to victims, it becomes apparent Tidal wave is invincible.

Skywarp
A powerful jet Decepticon comes from the skies of earth it is fired upon and vanishes. Celebrating a direct hit, the foes unfortunate to combat Skywarp are unaware of his unique teleportation gift from the dark god and in short order and they are honoured in memory by a mark on Skywarps tally. He proves his worth to Megatron by defeating his mightiest and takes his role as bodyguard seriously. But he has an agenda unknown to friends and foes alike. In their quest for the Mini cons, Skywarp proves a great asset to the Decepticons with his sword and marksman skills, as well as his advanced scanner that tracks Mini cons active or not.
