Yeah, the movie is pretty average and the battles aren't really exciting.Skyquake87 wrote:...probably not after the critical mauling it got ('cockney geezers in olden times').
I did buy these movies this week:
Heat - Directed by Michael manand stars Al Pacino and Robert Deniro.
Jack Reacher: Never Go Back - Directed Edward Zwick and stars Tom Cruise and Colby Smolders.
Underworld: Blood Wars - Directed by Anna Foerster and stars Kate Beckinsale.
Destruction is my specialty
Blood Father - Starring Mel Gibson, Erin Moriarty, Diego Luna, Michael Parks and William H. Macy.
About a father who has to help his daughter with some gang/drug related problems.
Free Fire - Stars Sharlto Copley, Armie Hammer, Brie Larson, Cillian Murphy, Jack Reynor.
It's basically about a weapons sale in a warehouse that goes badly.

Arrow blu of John Carpenter's The Thing.
I actually ordered both the regular Limited Edition and the steelbook, and I pained over the decision which to actually open to watch, but it seemed like a no-brainer; the LE has lots of paperwork I'll want to check out.
So of course the steelbook is the first to arrive. Doh!

Transformers : The Last Knight on 2 disc DVD oooh extras! Nice that a bit of effort has been put in to include some 'making-of' stuff. The film spending the bulk of the time in the UK no doubt has something to do with this. The documentaries are all good to sit through, and made me appreciate how much work and effort goes into even silly nonsense like giant out of space robots. The film remains enjoyable fluff with too much going on and Cogman stealing the show. Mercifully we were spared too much of Simmons (seriously, why do people find such a deliberately 'wacky' character appealing? He's the Rob Scheider of Transformers films...).

Its already available? that was fast. Very happy for the 2-disc edition as well, which they haven't bothered with since Revenge of the Fallen (at least in the UK). I stopped watching the TF films at the cinema with Dark of the Moon, but I enjoy them all massively on a home TV. Looking forward to getting this one (I really enjoyed the bonkers Age of Extinction).

It does work much better on blu ray where you can read your phone during the less interesting bits and pause it to go have a nap in the middle.

Batman Beyond: The Complete Series - now all they have to do is release it on Blu-Ray and I'll have three sets of this show.
