Hope you are all having a happy VD...

Post by Sades »

Hurr hurr hurr.

I'm single this year so I bought myself a bag of good quality chocolate hearts, ate a few then gave the rest out to my classmates. Now I have a bunch of new peeps. Its like grade school all over again, but they only love me for my candy.

Happy commercialisation of affection day! If you're smart, you're waiting until tomorrow when all the leftovers are 50% off. Assuming you do VD.

Glass of wine & sport on the radio, I've had worse VD's in the past. Just don't know if to finish the night reading or watching Scott Pilgrim/Annie Hall for a bout of romance. Much simpler and cheaper than sorting a night out on this date.

[edit] Happy VD to yourself as well Sades.

'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind' and a plate of broccoli and Quorn for me, today is a day of melancholy!

It's on days like this I really think about starting up my bogus pay to join on-line dating service, they must rake in the Euros on days like this.

I think i just like giving people stuff. Getting is cool, but giving makes me happy.

there was a valentine's bake sale going on so I bought my mum and dad a pretty little mini-cake.

Eh, didn't do anything today. May go to a party later, but probably won't.

My Valentine's pretty much sucked. Over here on Valentine's the girls give the boys chocolate, then on White Day (one month later) you have to give chocolate to every girl who gave you chocolate on Valentine's. I got some chocolates in advance, but not too many as I'm unemployed and didn't see many people, which is kind of nice, last year I had to keep a list of everyone I had to buy chocolates back for (and you guys thought England and America had it wrapped up with the commercialism). But I had a really crappy job interview yesterday. Didn't feel like it went well at all. Oh, it snowed though. I've had better Valentine's, I've had worse.

Sucks for you, hope the rest of the week treats you better.
Went to the party, it eneded early. Don't care, didn't meet anyone of particular interest unfortunately.

I went to work. Then had to work from home to put a new release of my application live. Then I played some Assassin's Creed Brotherhood. Then I watched some vids on my new netbook (plugged into my TV with a HDMI cable, which is nice). Then I went to bed.

Pretty standard Monday, to be honest. Other than putting the new version of the app live. That was a bit unusual.

Was it Valentines Day?

I enjoy that the initials VD can also mean STD. I'm simple like that.

Went for a day out with the missus in the nearest town with a cinema, watched True Grit which was awesome, went for a pub lunch, came back, watched Family Guy's "It's a Trap!" then played Assassins Creed 2 while the other half revised for her Driving Theory test, not a bad day!

I loaded the dishwasher.

...

That's not a chauvinistic euphemism. I really just loaded the dishwasher. It's enough out of the ordinary to be worth mentioning.

Well, I was working from 1-10pm, which was nice of my boss. But it did give me time to buy some flowers, choccies and Charlie St Cloud on DVD for me bird before she came in to meet me.
She wasn't expecting anything. Which on the one had meant I could properly surprise her, but on the other must reflect pretty bad on me . . .

Me and my friends use Mortal Kombat as a euphemism. I always think it's great until you have to explain to a girl why someone just knocked on your door and shouted "FINISH HER!"
