Oh, and Jez's thing about getting justice, after his big speech.

Mmmm... I also just love the way the jury all agree with him both times. It's Jez with influence and power, and it's ****ing scary.

Yesterday I watched the rainbow rhythms one. Fun indeed.

5 series in, no signs of stopping. A bloody fantastic show.
I've wrangled a copy of Season 6; is 7 out on disk yet?

One thing I've noticed is; I am so Mark. And as I've watched the show its just gotten worse. I almost made a really inappropriate joke about the Nazis at my Police uniform fitting.

Yeh, I'm very Mark - going along with things that are apparently enjoyable wishing I was doing something else is a familiar feeling, as is wanting to just stay out of other people's drama. He's a bit easier to emphasise with than Jez, because I don't think anyone's quite as stupid as he is.

Apparently 7 came out in time for the Xmas market... I know there were DVD Rips in some places before Episode 6 actually aired...

Every scene of Mark stood at the edge of a party thinking about doing something a bit quieter was all too familiar...

There are some very, very stupid people...
I never really thought Jez was especially stupid so much as just utterly indifferent about everything. As Mark said; "he just does not give one solitary f**k, does he?"

So, Peep Show is back. I just this minute watched it on 4od. Gerrard dying actually managed to surprise me, and I can't believe how funny I found it despite it being utterly horrible.

Yeh, good and surprising stuff, wasn't it?
"Jeremy... Gerard's dead... from the flu"
"BULLSHIT!"
Mark trying to hurry through the funeral was classic cringe too.

Johnson's speech felt a bit OTT and cartoony, though.

"Oh, that is so Gerrard" was a good line, too.

Oh yeah, I'd almost forgotten Johnson was even in it. He's totally outstayed his welcome now I think.

Yeh, it just felt a bit like "hey, we'd better put Johnson in" - when, y'know, he was Gerrard's boss a year or two ago and everyone knows he's a mssive arsehole so wouldn't let him do a speech at Gerrard's funeral.

Loads of good bits, though, yeh - the cake, the Indian takeaway, the therapist.

I don't care. A Johnson cameo is a Johnson cameo. I doubt he was even invited. He probably just turned up and people were too gobsmacked to call him on it before he went off to be awesome somewhere else.

Hit and run Johnsonation.

He always loved... the... red team...

The curry surprise scene is fast approaching being one of my all-time favourites - "Is he ****ing me?"

The beauty of that scene is the way it perfectly captures their relationship- they're best mates, who don't really know if they actually like each other.

Well, the paintball one was absolutely bloody excellent. More lines than I could possibly remember, and I even like Super Hans for once.

Another good solid slice of hilarious pain.

One thing I love from a geek POV is the general willingness to get people like Andy and Gail back from a few years ago just to do a couple of lines...

I just watched the first couple of episodes and, I'm confused. Did Hans actually get some character development?

edit: wow, they actually did. Not a lot, but enough to justify why Jez stays his mate. And no Sophie. Glad they took a break from her, really. A lot of great lines and laugh out loud moments made me think the show actually still has legs, something I wasn't convinced of at the end of the last series.

So Peep Show's back! I've laughed heartily so far. My only major complaint is how quickly Mark and Jeremy went from despising eachother to the same as ever.

And Dobby grows only lovelier...

I loved this episode, especially after the dodgy ending to the last one where the story went a bit skewiff getting Mark's new flatmate out.
