What did you think of District 9?

No. They all spoke quite clearly, I thought. ...They weren't consistently subbed thought, were they? I vaguely remember thinking it odd that the English was subbed, then also finding it odd when it wasn't.

I saw it yesterday and really enjoyed it. I'd say it was a little overrated given the vast amount of hype that's been surrounding it but it still stands out from the current sea of crap that's flooded the film industry in recent weeks. Loved the main character and his alien counterpart. Also loved the way they dropped any reflection of South African history about half way through in exchange for excessive gore,explosions and a mech. Struggled to take the South African accent seriously though "fook you" and so forth.
