Enjoy the new movie / series?
NO, they just took everything they new would work in a certain demographic and slapped TF's name on it. I know TF isn't shakespeare but, come on do it some justice. The jokes made me cringe, everyone's acting is awkward, and the Robots in disguise I know and love look like walking scrap piles.

Bought any of the new comics? What d'ya think of them? On the whole, disappointing. Its like no one cares or can be bothered. Furman is now sadly past his best, and IDW are all over the shop with whatever it is they are trying to do. At least Dreamwave had some editorial control, despite somehow managing to give Blitzwing three origins. Thank baby Jesus for Last Stand Of The Wreckers. A shame we've had to wait ten years to read something as good as this.

I'm a G1'er through and through. I was 7 in 1984 when the series aired on television and used to run home to catch my favorite shows every afternoon...ie: Transformers, G.I. Joe and MOTU. Had acquired a vast collection as a child but regretfully (now) gave them all away to my less fortunate neighbor who also happened to be my best friend around the age of 11 when I was getting into *cough* more interesting things like girls, sports, video games, exc... Didn't think about or start collecting transformers again until 2007 upon seeing a Classics Prime in a local store. Using Michael Bay as a crutch, convinced the WIFE that transformer toys were cool and something I intended to start hoarding. Now three years later....I have managed to acquire every figure leading up to the movie ('86) and a few afterwards, such as Predaking. Even went after figs that didn't appear in the show as well such as Roadbuster, Whirl, Sunstorm, exc...All are complete, a few are boxed and soon my collection will spill over into Season 3 full force, I'm afraid. I also collect G.I. Joe (ARAH) not the ROC or POC stuff....only the 25th anniversary figs and all are carded (figs) or boxed (vehicles) still....Just recently gotten into collecting M.A.S.K as well as those are rather cool toys too. Like aforementioned, I also collect Transformer (Marvel US run) comics and own box sets (dvds) of both G1 Transformers and G.I. Joe. Though with work and real life getting in the way....rarely do I get a chance to watch them. Nice to meet you all....I'm a member on several other Transformer forums. And even an administrator on one. But this place looks really cool so I thought I would give it a try as well.

I'm currently reading Stieg Larsson's Millennium Trilogy. I've only read a bit of Swedish crime literature before (Mankell, Sjöwall & Wallöö) and I wasn't that impressed, but Larsson's novels have knocked my socks off. In fact, I spent all of yesterday reading "The Girl Who Played With Fire". Lisbeth Salander and Mikael Blomkvist are now two of my all-time favourite fictional heroes/heroines.

I can't think of anything interesting, so here, have my "HOW I DUN GOT INTO TRANSFORMERS LOL" story: In 2008 I spotted the Transformers movie on DVD in our local HMV. I noticed the director was Michael Bay, who also directed The Rock - which I love. (Score by Hans Zimmer, yesss.) I watched it and was entranced by the quality of the CGI, but even though I watched it over and over, I didn't research the original show or buy any toys other than Legends Bumblebee. In fact, I forgot all about it until ROTF came out. I went to the cinema to watched that and was the only person in the world who actually liked it. But again, the only toy I bought was Robot Replica Ironhide, and I didn't really think much about the original show. Fast-forward to June 2010: I buy myself a PSP, and when hunting for games find the original '86 movie on UMD for £1. As I often suffer from insomnia I think "why the hell not" and watched it that night. The next day I tell my BFF in the 'States about this whacky TF movie I've watched and well he turns out to be the biggest TF fan I've ever met, and goes on to introduce me to G1, TFA, and recently BW. I've been hooked ever since.

I noticed the director was Michael Bay, who also directed The Rock - which I love. (Score by Hans Zimmer, yesss.) I watched it and was entranced by the quality of the CGI, but even though I watched it over and over, I didn't research the original show or buy any toys other than Legends Bumblebee. In fact, I forgot all about it until ROTF came out. I went to the cinema to watched that and was the only person in the world who actually liked it. But again, the only toy I bought was Robot Replica Ironhide, and I didn't really think much about the original show. Fast-forward to June 2010: I buy myself a PSP, and when hunting for games find the original '86 movie on UMD for £1. As I often suffer from insomnia I think "why the hell not" and watched it that night. The next day I tell my BFF in the 'States about this whacky TF movie I've watched and well he turns out to be the biggest TF fan I've ever met, and goes on to introduce me to G1, TFA, and recently BW. I've been hooked ever since.

Elvis or the Beatles? Love them both, but probably the Beatles (just). Elvis went really downhill in the late 60s (see his movie "Clambake" and you'll see what I mean), whereas the Beatles never really had an album you could call duff.
Last album you bought? I've got the horn for David Bowie at the moment, so have been filling up the holes in my Bowie collection these last few weeks - The Buddha of Suburbia came through the post yesterday!

Fave episode? Carnage in C-Minor, just because it's so mental.
Least fave episode? The Master Builder. Everyone acts so terribly stupid in that episode, Prime is a total ass to Grapple and Hoist, and then they all play basketball. Yuck.
