Your favorite music

Post by Lord Decepticon »

What are some of ya favorite all time songs, artists & albums.

I love GOOD rap, not that crap played on the radio. I love Westcoast Gangsta rap such as D.P.G.C., Bay Area Artists, Ol' Death Row & 2PAC! My all time favorite MC besides Pac is Kurupt. My favorite albums are all of the first death row albums, and most of my D.P.G. albums. Yet I also like some of that 80's music. Espcially alot of videogame music.

As far as rap goes, I prefer Public Enemy. Chuck D owns the universe.

I don't really have favorites; I listen to almost every kind of music. Although lately the Yeah Yeah Yeahs have completely kicked my ass; that's pretty much the only band I've listened to this week.

My taste in music is weird. Top on my list are the works of Harry Chapin and Jimmy Buffett. If you look on my hard drive, you'll find a little of everything. Small amount of Rap, Rock, old Country & Western, modern Country, a little techno, even a song classified as Ska..

I definitely go for old school rap like Ice Cube, Ice T, having pretty much their entire back catalogues. I did like Gravediggaz for a while, as well as the Geto Boys, and there was this once guy called MC Eiht who was pretty good.
For todays' rap, I guess the only guy I would listen to is Busta Rymes.

Stone Temple Pilots all the way! But through some Tool in, and I agree with Jimmy Buffett, because I'm still looking for that lost shaker of salt.
And for rap, Westside Connection is da bomb (sorry for the horrible saying).

I'm a pretty big fan of alternative like Radiohead, Matthew Good, Nirvana, the Strokes and Pedro the Lion.

I also like older stuff like the Beatles, Queen, Bob Marley, Led Zepplin, the Who and Pink Floyd.

Then there are other bands like Rage Against the Machine, Sublime, Coldplay and System of a Down that are great when you're in the right kind of mood.

I love cheese 80's pop songs... stuff from the "big hair" era... old rock ballads... rap, anything that catches me I'll listen to. I used to be a huge fan of Tupac Shakur and I'm slowly getting back into that-it's just good music, it really is. Eminem and D-12 I like though I've not bought any albums. Current radio stuff is really cool IMO... Alt. rock, plus stuff from Type O and Tool...AC/DC, Disturbed, The White Stripes... Rob Zombie, Alanis Morrisette, The Flaming Lips... varied! If I had the money I'd be buying new music every day.

I'll listen to whatever catches me, pretty much. I've a definite soft spot for piano tunes, elderly rock ballads, (some) classic rock and one-hit wonders though. It's all good.
This is my signature. My wasted space. My little corner. You can't have it. It's mine. I can write whatever I want. And I have!

I have a fairly even mix of dance music and other stuff. Erm, that's 50% dance music and 50% everything else.

So, erm. Favorite artists. Mauro Picotto, Special D, Jan Wayne, Gigi D'Agostino, Faithless, Hixxy, Vibes, Force & Styles, Vinylgroover.

And as for other stuff, I like a huge variety. Rock, rap, some cheesy pop, some African tribal music, etc etc etc.

21, and Happy Hardcore rocks. Time to grow out of that immature judgemental attitude, methinks.

Used to have over 1000 mp3's of various glorious styles, then I was too lazy to back them all up before selling my old computer and deleted them. The only things I don't listen to are new country (30 years ago this crap would've been classified as just bad southern rock) and gangsta rap. My most frequently played stuff is classic rock and alternative rock. Not too keen on the stuff getting played out on the radio right now.

Mostly stuff with electric guitars and lyrics. Simon & Garfunkel to Dead Kennedys to Cradle Of Filth. A lot of small bands I picked up on during uni.
Time to grow out of hardcore.

I can't believe how many people listen to rap. I detest it [no flames].

Anyway, my favourite music...

Power metal. Fast, melodic power metal, like sonata arctica, nightwish, edguy, stratovarius...

I also like guns and roses, even though I haven't tried to buy any of their cds.

Other stuff, like melodic rock, rock, gothic industrial, darkwave etc are in my list as well.
