Blugeon has given me a good impression so far...
All we need is a transformer that looks like a viking and a pirate and we're all set!

We do have a pirate. Cybertron Cannonball is a pirate.

No vikings yet, though.

makes me wonder if the Wreckers themselves could be considered pirates in the TF storyline? Or maybe the dinobots? Or perhaps the predacons? such a tough call :smack:

Bludgeon and Breakdown both look good, I may consider getting them should I ever see them.

And then again (wonder how I forgot them) there are the Seacon Space Pirates (Halfshell's group) in BWII. Those are real pirates.

I always thought Unicron had a viking vibe to him. The horns and that.

Yeah. After seeing Dirge's jet mode, that solidifys his place on my wants list. :) Not a fan of the bio, but I usually just give them whatever personality I want when I'm playing with them.

Buster Prime is sooo hot (assuming the head can be swapped out... I don;t mind faceplateless Op on screen, but the figure works best with) - is he going to be a (conventional) Japanese release?

The Alternity figures look tiny there - I thought they were a fraction under Alternator size? Look more like smallish Deluxes there, unless that's Uma Thurman...

Yeah, he's a Japanese mass retail release, though more expensive than the regular one.

As far as I know, Alternity figures are about Deluxe-sized.

Weird - what's the big hook, then? Surely then it overlaps with Classics/Henkei figures then? Seems a bit redundant.

Almost certainly going to get Buster Prime now, I just need a screwdriver...

I like that Dirge. Although... Tuner Mudflap is essentially a premium version for Mudflap, right? It's just as well I never bothered with the original version.

Armorhide is meh. They could've done a nice Beachcomber with that mold, but they go for the black repaint...

Right, because the hippy/pacifist army buggy with a gun on top would totally have been forgiven by fans.

Because Universe Legends Beachcomber had no weapons whatsoever. ;)

Meanwhile, Jungle Attack Ironhide has apparently been renamed "Recon Ironhide".

Aye, he had weapons in the cartoon as well (albeit Gobot guns)... There's a difference between him being armed and actually being a military vehicle, though. That and his scheme would frankly look awful on that mould anyway - most of the Movie figures just don't translate to the "big blocks of several bright colours" aesthetic of more 'cartoony' incarnations (Hoist only works because of the original's relatively bland colour scheme - most of the non-green bits were either markings or robot limbs).

And let us not forget Pretender Starscream, whatever the hell that was...I always thought it was kinda cool.
