My little GIF pet project...

Post by Clay »

It's about 200kb. RM Anime Convoy transforming

I need a tripod for my camera... and maybe shrink the image sizes a little more, so I can use more frames for fluidity's sake. Well, they'll get better.

Could definitely use more frames.

I'd suggest taking the pics wherever it is that you've been taking pics for reviews and you could probably cut down the filesize a little by cropping out the excess area around the toy. Lowering the image quality slightly can also decrease filesize without being too terribly noticeable.

I don't know anything about animated GIFs though.

Well, the problem with taking them against the posterboard background is that then I have no point of reference (which I need, because I have no tripod).

I suppose I could try cropping the physical dimensions of the pics to something smaller. Then, I might have enough file space to add more frames.

EDIT: Hello, I've just said the same thing twice... I must be tired...

Made the Anime Convoy picture smaller: ~200kb now.

Also did Superlink Galvatron and Energon Towline and a nemesis prime animation.

The nemesis prime needs another frame or two to be more smoothly animated, and that's beside the point considering that I have no more webspace :(

Before I fix it, should I bother? I find it entertaining, but I won't worry about webspace if no one else gets a kick out of them.

(Please love me) :p

I think they're cool. I've always loved stop-motion animation stuff.

That's pretty sweet. If you could do like a step-by-step gif, that could help out a lot of people since he's one of the harder Transformers to transform.

You mean like a pictoral guide? Interesting... I'd have to find a webhost, though.
