stunticons FTW! though when was breakdown blue? blue highlights on the bot mode, but a white alt-mode, yes? still, i like the tip of the hat to the classics/universe lambo transform schema (the giant kneecaps), though i dont get what the blades on his arms are?

also, i'm not so much digging the shift towards movie-verse stylings. rather prefer EJ's 'technical-yet-slightly-g1-boxy' designs. personal preference more than anything, though. its still great art.

Breakdown! Now let's hope they didn't botch this up like Dreamwave's ongoing. And I agree. Breakdown needs more white.

They look like his vehicle mode doors to me... being as they're white and have what appear to be windows in. Which also means his vehicle mode is, as you say it should be, white.

Indeed. Let's hope they at least stay savvy with making them recognisable. Presence of Stunticons = Menasor? Gestalts FTW!

Because God forbid they do anything with the character that doesn't copycat who he was in the 80s...

You're probably right though, because the days of having Hardhead, Nightbeat and Hot Rod mixed in with Prowl's unit on Earth and Hound commanding a mix of early G1 guys and random G2ers are long gone, and we're back into Dreamwave-esque "everyone group together like this is 1985" territory.

At least the Wreckers mini is trying to buck that trend.

except his legs, formed from the rear of the car in a very similar manner to the classics sun/swipe mold, seem to be blue.

Just back from AA, as Furman cunningly avoided my weeks of effort into coming up with a way to get him to say AHM sucked balls by simply not going (though cliffy may be interested to know Wildman was there by himself) there wasn't a huge amount of new comics news, so I'll stick the little odds and sods (mainly from Mr. Roche) in here:

The Wreckers as were are no more, the only members left are Kup Springer and Perceptor. The comic will basically be about recruiting a new team (including Rotorstorm!!!!!!) to fight a villain new to IDW. They'll be some European characters featured, some Japanese (the villain I'd guess), some Marvel (Rack'N'Ruin?) and at least one of IDW's non dead human characters.

The Roche Kup story in AHMC is going to explain the cigar.

The Titan ROTF comic has a good years worth of strips planned out in a rough arc.

The most money Mike Collins and Stewart Johnson have ever been offered was to draw pornography comics.

I'll put more general thoughts on the convention (and what I thought of the handful of you beauties I met) in TF GD...

I would have just gone with "is there any truth to the rumour you bought a hundred copes of the first trade just to burn them?"

Though if it makes you feel better, last Transforce Bryan Hitch scuppered the plan to ask him what the hell he was doing at a TF convention when he's got a proper job by doing much the same thing. Though that did effectively answer the question, of course.

Them's the fellows. I was so busy orgasming as Rotorstorm I didn't pay any attention to the rest.

The devil inside me almost had me asking Nick at the panel if he knew what was going to happen to Hunter almost immediately afterwards when he was drawing the super happy happy clappy ending of Maximum Dinobots...

Call me ignorant if you must, but how the hell did Bombshell get his hands on the kid anyway?

i never figured out the massive apparent incongruity there, not even taking into account furmans 'mosaic' comic which i'm sure had hun/streaker 'fighting alongside the dinobots' (did he though?) and 'taking on scorponok' (umm, not especially). not to mention how verity and t'other one somehow weren't dead. speaking of which, going by the comment about the wreckers comic, are they dead again?

is AHM14 going to answer any of this when it drops through my letterbox? or will it just scare the cat again?

There are no plot holes, merely entry points for half-arsed fanfic.

Actually, that ones not to bad. The Decepticons already knew about the Autobots human friends and they'd have probably at least looked in the direction of the Scorponok business to see what all the fuss was about. Hell, the genocidal mug Sunstreaker may have even blabbed about him to Starscream. then it's just a matter of getting one of their high ranking government facsimiles to track him down. Remember them?

What bothers me is that the Autobots have been so fools to let a "double edged sword" like Hunter fall in Decepticon hands without even noticing it. I mean, wasn't it obvious that Hunter was still linked to Sunstreaker? Did they just send him home, "farewell and send us a postcard" and all?

I thought Sunstreaker went genocidal after Hunter's capture, partly because Bombshell was influencing him.

I love the way the word AUTOBOTS is in random capitals. Even the solicits are badly paced...

Just give it up and reboot the continuity already. IDW have ****ed up the first one beyond all recognition...

So with the Earth rebuilt they'll be likely little evidence of All Hail Megatron, and with the Autobots in hiding then.... everythings back to the start then? Bloody hell. My rebuilt confidence over the AA weekend has taken a good hard knock there.

And why do the GI Joe reprints get recoloured whilst we're stuck with the Yomotov? And how terrible does that Jessica Love Hewitt comic sound?

EDIT: And boo for claiming the Marvel UK Doctor Who strips from the 4th/5th changeover period have never been published in the States before.
