I also remember Tranzor-z. With the kid who flew the little plane thing into the robots head to pilot it, and the robot could shoot its fists at enemies. That was the one that had the charachter that was half man half woman right?

I also remember a show called Robotix. About humans who crash on an alien planet and find the inhabitants have replaced their natural bodies with robotic ones.

Does anyone else remember Tranzor-z or Robotix? No one I talk to does and I cant find anything available from either show.

Tranzor z sounds very familar and Voltron with the cats I also enjoyed.

i dont care what you say about what i'm putting. it was animated in japan so that qualifies it to be an anime. Thundercats was the very first anime i saw. Hey it may be a hybrid but it still is an anime.

"So now I'm asking more of you than I have before. Maybe all. Sure as I know anything, I know this, they will try again. Maybe on another world, maybe on this very ground swept clean. A year from now, ten? They'll swing back to the belief that they can make people better. And I do not hold to that. So no more runnin'. I aim to misbehave" - Captain Mal Reynolds

I remember Robotech, Voltron (King Zarkon sounded a lot like Astrotrain), Thundercats, and some stuff on Nickeleon. David the Gnome, Inspector Gadget and Speed Racer on MTV

Oh, I remember another one I just got the answer to...Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors! I haven't seen that in any of the previous posts.

Was I the only one to watch that? Plants that transform into vehicles? Weird stuff. Must be anime (wheelies.net)

I watched Jayce too; loved the bunch of weird vehicles, from both the warring sides :)
What was is motto? "Lightning strikes"?

Wow someone else remembers it! :) I don't remember the motto but I do remember the plants that transform and the leader (Jayce) with brown hair and a white streak thru it. I always remembered it, I liked both sides vehicles, too. The 80s had a lot of cool cartoons.

Robotix is available on region 2 dvd if you have a dvd player that can play multi region films.

Same with me here. I love those wave-motion guns that the Starship Argo had on STAR BLAZERS, and I liked the way all of those vehicles merged into that plane on BATTLE OF THE PLANETS. They sure do not make American Saturday morning cartoons like that anymore.
