Stan Bush is probably firing up a Change.org petition as we speak.

I listened to the first thirty seconds of the "Roll Out" track out of morbid curiosity and it sounds like the most generic pop-metal band in history doing a copyright-dodge cover of Bennet's "Mum's Gone to Iceland".

Kill it. Kill it all with fire.

Not exactly up there with the classic stuff.

ohhh I hate albums like these...they're always full of phoned-in 'will this do?' efforts. up there with those covers 'tribute' albums. And always by bands no-one's ever bloody heard of. Where do they find these people? And Judas H Priest, the mouldering grunge-lite corpse of Bush got prodded for this needless cash-in? Whyyyyyy?

...can't we just have any Fear Factory album instead? They're full of robot-y clanking nonsense. Just get Dave McKean to do his version of Optimus Prime for the sleeve art, job's a good 'un.

This all makes me very sad.

...and i was also disappointed as this thread topic sounded like WWOT

The first one bored me, I'm liking that Crash Kings track, though. The "More than meets the eye" bit didn't feel forced at all on first listen. The Bush track sounds like a Bush track. Based on the first few tracks here, I'd probably listen to the album.

(now I'm listening to old Bush tracks, dammit)

these are words I would thought I would never ever read on any message board ever. I thought me and my friends had only heard of Bennet

To be fair, this is a good way to give some limelight to some obscure/lesser-known bands on the Sony label. They know Transformers fans will buy any old rubbish, and the idea seems to be to get fans to listen to this and think: "Wow, this is great, I must go out and buy the new SPURS album!" Presumably the movie CDs (the ones with Limp Bizkit on) did well enough?

Hey music experts, found another one. Can't be bothered to sign up for an account right now but figured that maybe someone would (I might later, I'm curious). http://www.iheart.com/artist/elle-rae-3 ... -38226740/

Hm, dunno if it's actually really the song, supposedly has this one too. http://www.iheart.com/artist/jameson-bu ... -38226742/

Also found this, doesn't have the song but I'm really liking it so far. http://spurs.bandcamp.com/

I've got to admit that I don't get the reaction this thing is getting. I've certainly heard worse, in fact I enjoy "worse" on a regular basis. (Ugh, that's the wrong phrasing, but **** it, I'm tired.)
