Believe this is the first time it's been mentioned... correct and merge me if I'm wrong.

Hopefully the TF sizes will be a little more consistent in this one.

Presumably a lack of mass-shifting in this one should aid in that.

Woo! He did a great job before and I can't wait to see him now, after seeing Musso's development in "Spotlight: Ramjet". Both of the aforementioned artists are great, but I think they bother suffer from one thing -- what makes Su and Roche my favourite artists at the moment is that theyre not only are great at what they do, but they both have their own, very distinctive style. Their work is instantly recognisable. I think if Matere (And Musso), puts a little more of "himself" into his work, he'll be up there with the best.

Nevertheless -- woo!

Tangent: I really hope that if the issue features the other Dinobots, Simon puts some time into giving them distinctive personalities and not just Grimlock. Oh, and I know it's unlikely, but please, please don't give him the speech impediment. Hopefully Furmbot won't use the events in "Spotlight: Shockwave" as an excuse to damage his voice-processing thingamajig. I was so happy when he didn't do the whole "Me Grimlock" thing. It's played out. :)

Hopefully Megatron: The Secret History of Tables won't put him in a "Me Grimlock" mindframe...

Because the artist is responsible for the dialogue?

I was hoping it wouldn't put Furman in a "Me Grimlock" frame of mind. Assuming he read as far as Grimlock's appearance that is. And I thought Milne was officially responsible for everything wrong with that comic?

Holmes is responsible for the things that are wrong. Milne's to blame for us not being able to see the things that are right. And Bodycount's to blame for us not being able to see the rest.

... Grimlock was in Morigin?

It obviously left an impression...

Another blog update -- artist for Transformers UK #8 announced. It's Staz Johnson!!!

Yay! TBH, I'm not particularly interested in any of the movie comics, but I've bought most of the UK comics due to the artists. :)

Excellent that what was hinted at in the last letters page has come to pass. Actually, when they run out of CGI characters to put on the covers Staz should be the first guy they call on to provide drawn ones.

And if you read down the comments further, Mr F has now confirmed that Spotlight Grimlock is due to be released in March. Which is our first confirmation that it is in fact the third issue in the next wave of Spotlights.

Well, it turns out that may not be the case:

So there's a chance it could be the fourth issue.

http://simonfurman.wordpress.com/2007/1 ... ript-wrap/

Script Wrap is now up.

Am guessing there may be some Dyno conflict off the back of the Big G not telling the others about his plan in Shockwave...

Second cover is up.

http://ryalltime.blogspot.com/2008/02/i ... -time.html

And now I realise the first cover isn't in this thread... may have to go and find from the solicits.

Late April?

Oh, and I was looking forward to a double dose of spotlights in March. Pity. Even Spotlight: Arcee advertises two spotlights for March. Still, these things are more often than not tentative, so I shouldn't be surprised, whether it comes out in April or still sees a March release. Nice cover though.
