Re: Hey, who wants to buy a lake house and turn it into a commune?

I can also cook and do gardening - I'm not super green fingered, but like having a go (helps to start with stuff that'll pretty much grow no matter what like potatoes). Quite willing to have a go at fixing/ building things (I love flatpacks, so chopping/ sawing wood and building stuff would be cool).

Re: Your Latest Non-TF Toy Acquisitions

Marvel Legends Iron Man 2020 Something of an anachronism these days, but like many Marvel UK fans, Arno Stark has some resonance for me. The figure is excellent. I love the deep burgundy and gold armour, it looks fantastic. The goofy cog shoulder designs make this 'future' version of Iron Man are g...

Re: POST YOUR NEWEST ACQUISITIONS!

Cool. I like that Trypticon looks like he's chatting to an indifferent Metroplex :) Kingdom Rodimus Prime Honestly, a really nice figure and I like the trailer is a sizeable thing, so doesn't look crap like Earthrise Optimus' undersized effort or Kingdom Magnus' similarly too small trailer (Siege Ma...

Do love this one, he's probably the best of the RMs. If memory serves this is the metallic version? Looks like the same one I've got.

...no idea! He doesn't look especially shiny and the box is long gone. I think it's just the regular version.

Re: OFFICIAL TRANSFORMERS TOYS NEWS

I'd like Star Saber, but don't know that I want to sign up for this sort of exclusivity nonsense. It's probably a sign of how the toys/ action figure market is heading, mind. I think it's fine for stuff like Unicron, but for things that may have made it into a mainline anyway (particularly given the...

Re: Covid 19 / everybody PANDEMIC

Aye, observed much the same - 'Pandemic's over' seems to be the prevailing attitude. I'm so used to wearing a mask these days, I'm quite happy to carry on. Noticed most shops have wound down their supplies of hand sanitiser and masks now. There's still signs up in shops encouraging people to wear ma...

Some things wot I got (I missed the ToyFu funtimes as described above as I was out and about): Siege Jetfire I bloody love this! Equally impressive in its own way as the original Valkyrie toy. I was going to get the edgelord Shattered Glass version, but a nice cheap second hand one caught my eye (so...

Re: POST YOUR NEWEST ACQUISITIONS!

Generations Selects G2 Megatron Lovely G2 repaint of the underwhelming Earthrise Megatron figure. I really liked the Siege figure, so am a bit baffled why this isn't as good. It's probably the silly sword/ tank barrel weapon and the slightly gormless face. Nice enough, and as I don't own a G2 Megat...

Re: Do people go elsewhere than eBay for old toys/comics these days?

I still use eBay :) I used to do listings, but since moving and needing to sell stuff relatively quickly for space, I've just listed as BINs with Best Offers. I've found it works well for TFs, action figures and licensed Lego sets. Less popular stuff (books, comics, etc) has just sat around. I've do...

Re: Remembering that our old toys actually exist!

I think I have Delta Seeker and X-Gunner - the Robot Masters two pack lads? Horrible clashing colours, but strangely appealing. I agree, the Cyberjets are pretty awesome. Although I think the toys had their sides switched as Strafe (the Camo one?) had Decepticon symbols on his tailfins. Or at least ...

Been out to the pictures twice! It were alright. Saw A Quiet Place part II which was unbearably tense. Both in terms of what was on screen and the atmosphere in the cinema. It was everyone's first time back, and a lot of people were crammed in as the Vue in Leeds where I went had the worse luck of a...

Kingdom Galvatron Behold...Galvatron! I was going to hang on for the Selects version because Marvel UK, but decided the extra tenner that costs wasn't worth it (and I don't like the snot green Matrix). Besides which, the purple has always really suited Galvatron and it looks brilliant in person. Mi...

Yup. The mask thing drives me bananas. Like you, we've decided this Monday was "freedom day" so now no-one gives a ****. Our feeble NHS Covid-App is pinging people like crazy (who'd have thought that having so many more people out and about would mean there's a greater risk of transmission...

Re: OFFICIAL TRANSFORMERS TOYS NEWS

I think I'd be more excited for Fangry if he was a brand new mold. Between Boxsets and Exclusives, it's been a torrid time to be a Transformers fan. I think it's made worse by Hasbro turning out some excellent product. I can kind of see the point of some of the box-sets, selling more minor character...

Hardcore cartoon fans are buying six of them to make an army of Sweeps, of course. How boring. As if Hasbro wasn't going to wring some more money out of such an obvious reuse. Earthrise Decepticon Clones Basically what Takara did. Putting figures that are part of a set together in a box. These are ...

Re: Which characters are you still waiting for a good toy of?

Hasbro are doing Galvatron in toy colours, which as far as the comics go is close enough. It'll do me, anyway :P I'd second seeing some of the Euro G1 characters. Rotorstorm was a treat and I'd love to see the likes of Clench and the Stormtroopers (Rage, Drench and, uh, the other two), and Skyquake ...
