Twin Peaks: Limited Event Series on blu-ray, and oh boy is this one a doozy.

The original series was kind of a slow burner regarding it's reveal as more than just an ordinary murder mystery, but this one just throws you aboard the crazy train in the first episode.

That thing suffers so much from mold degradation that it makes Encore Bruticus not seem as bad.

I've gone Micromaster Mad! Rescue Patrol - I actually had Fixit as a kid but I have no idea what happened to it. The one in this lot has kind of loose legs which is a bit of a letdown, as are Stakeout's badly rusted hubcaps. Offroad Patrol - sans Highjump, on the account of him being one of the few ...

Doesn't look like they come from any Transformer I've ever seen. And yet there's something really damn familiar about them, but that could just be familiar design cues.

The chromed claws suggest some kind of a beast mode, too.

Maybe it's from Sentai or Brave?

I bought the German blu-ray of Das Boot - the TV series version. Which, ironically, has probably been shown on TV far less frequently than the movie. Also the new US DVD release of Great Mazinger . Unlike Mazinger Z which at least had a (really bad) bootleg out there, this is the first time to my kn...

G1 Hot House ! Complete with the fire station that turns into a tank! I find it kind of weird that Hot House himself is a redeco of one of the Air Strike Patrol members, when there's an actual fire truck micromaster. I really should buy some Decepticon Micromaster bases for a change. I got a whole ...

Race Car Patrol! And unlike the Sports Car Patrol, none of these are a floppy mess. Probably because half their pins have rusted. Hmm.

So there's some fella on ebay selling reproductions of G1 accessories - including Bludgeon's turret and gun, which I was missing. What're they like? Well they sure as hell ain't ABS plastic. The turret looks fine on the outside, but the inside reveals it's garage origins. Both have a very sharp look...

I had a ton of Micromasters when I was little, but mostly I just pretended they were little versions of characters I didn't have toys of that had the same alt-modes. So Overload was Ultra Magnus, Tote was Ironhide, Fixit was Ratchet, Stakeout was Prowl, etc... Didn't really love them on their own m...

Saw this video and since it more or less covers ground that I've thought about for a long time now, decided to share it.

It also made me appreciate Daleks in Manhattan a lot more. It does seem like the best Dalek stories are the ones that deconstruct them as a civilization.

When it comes to the massive catalog of G1 toys, at least the western releases, Doubleheader was easily somewhere in the bottom section of my "most wanted" list. So when I saw one being auctioned off domestically, I ignored it at first, but then I thought, what the hell, I could bid like €...

I always thought that G Gundam was pretty bad when it came to the whole "showrunners don't give a damn they're supposed to be selling toys" thing, but it's nothing compared to Machine Robo: Revenge of Cronos . Three of the four heroic main toy characters are just reuses of earlier toys, an...

G1 Brainstorm Considering the shape of this guy, I can't help but to feel I overpaid a little. Lot of loose joints, most of which I can't fix with just a screwdriver, and Arcana's faceplate is so loose that someone tried to fix it by jamming a bit of blu-tack onto it so it stays up against his fore...

Hellraiser: The Scarlet Box During a small personal financial crisis, I was forced to cancel my pre-order for this thing - only for it to be immediately sold out and fetch a pretty penny in the aftermarket, much to my chagrin. But then Arrow secured the rights in their US market and released the ex...

Snoke dying like a bitch was hilarious, honestly, but I do think that a whole bunch of the decisions in the movie were made entirely to subvert people's expectations. Snoke dying, Poe's rebellion turning out the way it did, Leia constantly surviving in spite of being the old mentor figure, Holdo no...

All I took home from it was three plotholes, in order of magnitute; 3) After railing on the treatment of the children at the casino planet, how come the Asian girl whose name I've already forgotten saved the not-horses but not the kids? 2) Why did Holdo wait for over half of the shuttles to be blown...
