So I got the super colossal Tyrannosaurus Rex made by Mattel. It's been sitting in the HLJ private warehouse for two months because, well... It only cost like 50-60 euro which wasn't so bad, but the shipping was more than the toy itself, and then I got slapped with customs on top of it, so the whole...

...I read Batwoman. So, I'm paying for some of that shit. I like that they just have her as a gay character and its not a big deal. That's exactly it - when you treat an anxiliary character trait as exactly that, few will people care. But when you have a character who only seems to function as the ...

It is morons like you that take all the fun out of everything because you can't stand the fact the world has changed and to survive franchises Dr. Who, Star Wars, Star Trek, Transformers, Marvel and DC comics have to change with the time instead of pandering to only cisgendered white males No they ...

I didn't even notice Optimus Prime was missing from the line-up. Maybe it's because he's been reissued the most. At least Bumblebee and Devastator have never had Hasbro reissues at all, so that's something.

I love that they're reissuing the G1 figures again but I'm sad at the same time because I already own practically all of the ones they've put out (aside from Swerve and Outback). But hopefully the line does well enough to warrant a second wave with toys I don't already have! That's my biggest point...

Who is among the daftest swords to try to fall on when neither the new series nor the old (as it soldiered on towards and through the 80s) has done much of anything that isn't larded with stereotypes or representation, from Paradise Towers to lesbian lizard-human romance. You missed the keyword &qu...

What I hate so much about TLJ is that in addition to essentially screwing over everything that's come before it - even TFA, which I thought was okay while still admitting it had it's problems - it has severely, and unnecessarily, divided the SW fanbase, which is especially infurating in this Trump/S...

It'd be a good idea in any walk of life to get a responsible adult to dress and coach people who aren't used to presenting to members of the public, because the public stage of millions is now the status quo. If I remember correctly, the specific comment KMT made months ago about social media is th...

I've always hated sensationalist media for making the world look a lot worse a place than it actually is, but opening the prospects of hit-based ad revenue from lazy, dumb clickbaits to the general populace has not done positive worldview any favours. And that really goes for both wings, left and ri...

It's certainly a bad idea to reduce Nazis to goose stepping comic relief, as most of the support for the ideology was enough of the general populace being unified against wartime reparations and outsider scapegoats. The run of the mill conservative in that era wasn't opposing the party, and the sam...

Same goes for Star Trek. Which is why I've found the complaints about Discovery a bit silly, since Trek has always been pretty progressive. So maybe that's not the problem and that's not what people are actually complaining about. Same thing goes for Rogue One, that one was diverse as hell but peopl...

Wants science fiction to be "devoid of agendas and ideologies, written by people with proper qualifications" who presumably come from Mondas. I fail to see why this is a bad thing. There seems to be a general agenda-driven push in mainstream fiction lately where it takes the front stage i...

The funny thing about the harrassment thing is that nobody's actually been able to provide solid evidence of said harrassment in the form of something like archived web pages, just some screenshots of racially charged comments with no context whatsoever. KMT herself stayed quiet for a long time, and...

I'd fix it but I've already forgotten which video it was.

It was about how only one member of the new writing staff had any experience writing science fiction and the rest had barely any writing experience at all and at least some of them were pretty obviously just diversity hires.

Not that I had much hope for the future of the series at this point anyway, but I'm not even sure I'm gonna bother giving it the benefit of a doubt.

The amount of bile Rose got from incel twats when she was the best thing in that plot by far makes me sad. Yeah, as opposed to the SJW twats right? If I didn't know any better, I'd assume she was intended to be a biting satire on the typical liberal leftie; she's full of rhetoric but all her action...

Yes, I know it was just an American anime mash-up of two different anime shows made by Toei. I know a lot of people don't like Vehicle Voltron but even in the Americanization of the series, it does have some decent characters and a sightly more morally grey and complex (for the time at least) theme...

He apparently got stuck in a house with all of his relatives, several televisions, and a three day TOS marathon. He couldn’t change the channel, he couldn’t get away from it(I’m really hoping he was kidding about them having a tv in the bathroom), so Star Trek makes him twitch and run screaming in ...
