I think the three Japanese series Headmasters, Masterforce & Victory - all previously released to DVD- have reached their intended market. They are all largley unfamilar and uniquely Japanese takes on the format and I think if there were any interest and / or demand for these to be re-dubbed or ...

I never really felt that TROOP was meant to be a concluding episode, sure there are lines in there that suggest it may have been "there will be no war today Optimus Prime, you have earned Galvatron's respect" and the "sorry" from Dr Swafford, but they are hardly conclusive in the...

I hope that MP10 is as it looks and has the long smokestacks...I quite like the look of him and might be tempted to pick one up.

Not sure what the big deal about Soundwave is - hasn't he already been out in that configuration?

um..yes QL was networked and then sold in syndication a year after original broadcast in 1990 (which is when it aired on BBC2). the credits thing whereby a different series' titles were used was so other networks could run repeats in with new episodes. QL is very much affected by this as some of the...

TS3 got me too... As with Dalek, Quantum Leap had me at the end. Just that black screen with that simple statement right at the end. Doctor Who has got me a couple of time too! Ten's regeneration - and in particular the line about Donna Noble's dad (the actor who played him having died in real life)...

Whilst the TROOP does make a fitting conclusion...that was because it was designed to round off season 3. It more than likely came about due to the faux pas of killing him off in the animated film. I suspect that given the rather free-form nature of the original cartoon, it ended up as the bookend o...

I was under the impression that Airrachnid's telepathic control of the swarm ended when she was put in stasis by accident, so their number one leader by default reverted to Megatron. Didn't really like this episode. Too much happens but also nothing happens. Perhaps I was too hyped about the next e...

[Prime] S02E10 Armada

Animated gets another homage as Starscream clones himself ...to no avail, but hopefully he'll think to restore his T-Cog from one of his clones. Mirroring his actions, Arachnid makes her play and has her storyline ended...at the hands of Arcee, whom seems to not be able to 'let go' of her pursuit of...

Or maybe Furman's a lying sod sometimes, what with most of his recent work relying so much on recycling what he's already done. He's always recycled stuff...its perhaps not been as noticable since his return to Transformers, but take Death's Head for instance. Issue 10 ends with some completed artw...

There's always been a lot of fuss around Shada, hasn't there? I'm glad the book turned out okay. That's the second time recently we've had Douglas Adams corpse exhumed for more money for old rope, following the recent Hitch Hikers book. I've just watched Warriors Od The Deep! It was ace :) Davison's...

I can't remember, but has Agent Fowler shared screen time with 'Jackie' ? I liked the interview format and the inference that the military / government alliance extends to gaining access to Cybertronian technology and the relationship with Mech. And I liked the suit thing too! Clip shows still suck ...

I'd agree about plot arcs. I don't think this should be like 24 or whatever, but something with the chops of the old X-Men or Spiderman cartoons would be good, you know good strong individual episodes that build into a cohesive whole. Rather than a load of forgetable filler with just a few episodes ...

Megatron cooking up his virus and dumping it on Cybertron just doesn't have enough to sustain a series though. It'd be like Outbreak or Contagion. I don't need to see "awesome badass deaths" (jesus, who does?), the imagined horror of the set up in Beast Machines is far far worse than anyth...

I just wished we'd never had the Dead Universe at all. Terrible concept. And it was a re-heat of Necrowar.

all this has reminded me i need to get my remaining IDW trades on ebay...

...sigh. do you know, i once looked forward to reading Transformers. James Roberts , bless him, is doing his best to swim against the tide of bullsh*t, but even now there's a sense of impending doom about anything IDW do.

the parallel storytelling just allowed Furman to set up too many ongoing threads - pulling that lot together would have taken a plethora of writers some doing, let alone someone of Furman's ability. IDW f**ked up when they allowed the spotlight series to form part of the ongoing minis they were doin...

Eh, I hope there's no more Beast Wars comics...at least from IDW. The Gathering was okay, although as Cliffy will tell you does give Furman another opportunity to wheel out Grimlock. As we have been discussing in another thread, this mini works as its a proper mini series - it has a beginning, middl...
