...i hate the the world is getting like this and the film Idiocracy is slowly becoming reality :( I think XKCD had a comic taking a shit on people making that claim, too. As much as I loathe this new art style, I swear this show would seriously have to try to be worse than the second season of the ...

Marvel Omnibus Droids & Ewoks. Hey, graphic novels still count, right? http://tfarchive.com/community/images/ubbicons/icon11.gif Probably the most lightweight of the Star Wars omnibuses (omnibi?), which mean it still weights a ton and doesn't fit in my bookshelf. Also not much in the way of extr...

Looks a bit like a cross between Teen Titans Go! and The Powerpuff Girls. Not bad. I'd be willing to give it a watch, see what it's like. I tried rewatching the '80s cartoon, back when the DVDs came out and yeah...its aged, man. Time to move on (theme tune is still ace though). I thought it was oka...

Or they could've just come up with a brand new IP.

Instead we just get another Schroedinger's reboot; it's simultaneously for fans and not for fans.

And I don't even like Thundercats!

@Tetsuro - what is vaporwave? It's kind of hard to describe. It's supposed to harken back to the kind of music you'd find in industrial videos or corporate lounge music with a heavy emphasis on evoking a certain nostalgic feel and it has a specific art style associated with it, with oldschool CGI a...

I have this completely random screenshot which might give you some clue as to what to expect from that one.

And holy crap suddenly Ashens has a review of it.

If this was a dollar store toy, then it'd at least be sort of okay, the rev-up gimmick is kind of cool, but eight pounds!?

Turns out these guys actually have some kind of lore! "In all Galactic lore, there is no story as tragic and hard fought as that of the Twin Princes of the Rival Moons of Planet Robotron. Each Prince was to rule his own moon, with the most successful ruler eventually becoming the new Emperor of...

Toy-accurate Megatron too?

That's kind of funny after so many releases that discarded toy accuracy for cartoon accuracy, resulting in some rather "plain" looking toys. I guess dismissing that sweet spot between the two didn't work out so well after all!

Dancing Fantasy "Worldwide"

This purchase most certainly influenced by vaporwave. Smooth jazz, very much a break from the usual faster-paced italodisco that I've been listening to for the past year or so.

They're toys for people who don't like toys but want a cheap way of showing hey, they're zany and different because they've got a figure of Jack Sparrow or Doctor Who or Deadpool or Harley Quinn sat on a shelf next to a Stranger Things box set. You can buy little plastic sleeves for the boxes, for ...

Chargertron!

You know how in cartoons and comics, whenever they have to have a made-up toyline, they always give them the silliest and least creative names imaginable?

I bring Protagatron and Antagatron.

G1 Grapple - I think the Takara reissue was a convention exclusive, which explains the higher pricetag. But after experiencing the Platinum Perceptor, I'd rather just continue to pay extra for working spring mechanism.

Because that sort of thing is totally worth extra 80 bucks!

The Constructor Squad are Decepticons too, though! And pretty great in their own right. Well damn, so they are! I don't know where I got the idea they were Autobots. I was also a baffled by Wheel Blaze/Road Burner's alt mode for the longest time - a giant truck just for a personnell lift? I only ju...

The micro madness continues, this time with combiner squads! Astro Squad - I mostly got this one since it'll go nicely with both the Battlefield Headquarters spaceship modes, as well as Countdown's rocket base. They're unfortunately pretty badly rusted, but they were complete and this was the only l...

I got several different scans but they all omit the non-TF content, and while the better ones I found are scanned from higher quality materials and actually use the UK printings of the US material with the changes made to the relevant content, they still switch to older, lower quality scans around m...
