Seems Hasbro Rodimus has a few QC issues of his own:

Personally, I'd be disappointed spending £60 on a toy and finding it's got problems like these.

I'd just like to see a few animals thrown in, something along the lines of the awesome Energon Divebomb would be good. Just something to break up the monotony of tank/car/jet. Hell, even devices and handguns (although please no shite like classics Megatron ever again) would be nice to see in a limit...

Nah, I've not bothered trying to sort out his cockpit. I do like his robot mode, and yes there's a refreshing change to switching a jet to a robot, but i do think he could have used a less cartoony head - he looks like something Hasbro would have produced for Animated had they not attempted to direc...

It's true that we didn't get to see much of Rattrap's abilities, save for 'A Better Mousetrap', but there are hints that he had a past of more of this kind of work. I probably am a bit hard on Beast Machines, but then it wants to be taken so seriously and treated as a grown up show, but doesn't give...

RTS Lugnut is a funny thing. Robot mode is great, but the direct copy of the Animated headsculpt makes him look a bit out of place. The alt mode is a bit of a misfire for me. it looks too squashed and truncated to resemble much of the three or four craft it borrows design elements from. On mine the ...

Fair point, but there aren't many children's shows - and in particular cartoons - that have much depth to them. The only contemporary cartoon show I can think of that matches Beast Wars storytelling chops was Batman: The Animated Series. Most other kids cartoons of the period are flashy, cops and ro...

The half enclosed swivel joint was a breakthrough for me. Sure it popped off a few times, but it popped right back in. Most other swivel joints would break off, never to be whole again. Wholeheartedly agree on ROTF\NEST\HFTD except for the Lockdown mould. I had the Axor version for a while. The upp...

I like how Beast Wars develops. It's similar to a lot of other kids shows, with similar themes explored, but the writers have given it all these little extra touches that get explored in later episodes, the artifacts and so forth. Whilst a lot of the first Season is fairly throwaway, the approach wa...

Hrm. Beast Wars did eventually develop good organic beast dinosaurs, but only in the Japanese BWII line (four of them cropped up as an extension to Beast Machines/ RiD). Transmetal Megatron in the 'main' western line is a good example of how things had progressed (albeit with a slightly moe robotic ...

i found the engineering / designs across all the lines pretty inconsitent. Animated, whats an undoubted triumph in getting cartoon characters into vehicles and beasts also introduced the worst piece of transformers engineering - the half enclosed swivel joint. Got an Animated Lockdown? twizzled his ...

if i had been paying more attention to the DWM article on that very story, i'd be able to answer that...as it is...its just ...out...of reach... I wonder why Hasbro are embarrassed by the Marvel stuff? If they are are embarrassed , I hope it's because they realised their mistake in using the US book as little more than a glorified advert for their toys That said, TF# 80 was in 1991. Over 20 years ago now. Are people really that bothered for ...

Best entrances... Shockwave arriving in Mavel US # 4 and decimating the autobots and then stringing them all up in the ark to be used as parts (grim), taking control of the Decepticons and generally being brutally efficient. Although they don't say much, I do like the Predacons in the 'Prey' storyli...

I think I'm more intrigued by Wildman's Horizon comic. I wonder what that will be about. As for his current style, it reminds me of a dude who drew a back up strip in Hellboy called Monster Men or somesuch. The illustrations had this similar faux-Victorian etching style about them too. I do like Wil...

The way UK retail works, Windcharger will devalue quickly enough. I bought mine on impulse for £8.99 at asda when food shopping there. A fortnight later, he was reduced to £6.49 along with all his wave mates. Two months after that, most places are clearing through all Transformers stock in preparati...
