I feel we are going to have to bring up kiss players if we are going down that road.

Wasn't it Freud who said sometimes a fusion cannon is just a fusion cannon? Or was that Froid?

While I am fully prepared for Tailgate to be rescued / escape/ whatever, I think if Roberts just ends it here he has done a great bit of shock writing. So much of those last pages worked. As said, with the way it builds you sense something is going to go wrong but its going to be Kaput but the Frenz...

So have not posted in a while. I'm planning to post in the All are one cancelled thread but suffice to say, issues 1-6 of Lost Light didn't exactly hit the spot for me. This is the first issue in a while were it really worked. Certainly not a perfect issue, don't get me wrong. But this had me hooked...

Waiting for it to turn up...then I shall cast my two penneth. Do agree that constantly introducing new characters is one of the things that frequently derailed the Marvel US book. And they at least were a less than subtle form of advertising... I don't mind odd new characters turning up here and th...

So, as a soft reboot for new readers, they can read the main story and be utterly confused by it, but it's okay because there's a five page f*cking recap to get them up to speed. This is bad writing and an absolute clanger dropped by editorial: if you have to have that much recap to have the main s...

Optimus Prime #1

Only going on the first read but... this felt damn good. Love the art from Zama and Burcham. It's a touch confusing with some of the new characters but it has a similar feel to Sins of the wreckers without being as washed out. The story itself felt strong and had more direction than Barber sometimes...

Jeez Patapsco, you had me worried. Artwise I would agree, I think the new style is that little bit too cartony. Same problem I had with some of the All are one stuff. The colours save it a huge amount but one or two characters look odd and the overall style is not nearly as polished as Milne. I can ...

Having checked out both issue 57s, I think IDW ended both comics in a decent way. Theres some nice set-up and explanation for some stuff and I really like then impending doom of a Titan fleet arriving at some point in cybertrons future - especially if it has no direct 'evil' leader. That said, the F...

TO be fair, I think if Robs and Barbs stay in control, Megatron will be an Autobot until the end. The last five issues of MTMTE had a clear purpose from Roberts point of view and that was to present Megs with his chance to return to the Decepticons. He didnt so I am firm in the belief that Megs flip...

None of Sin's seeded properly, is it? It should be an arc in an ongoing or something but we're dropped into this big revelation story about people we've never met and mysteries that we didn't know were mysteries. Springer's origin has never, ever been a big mysterious thing. Hubcap's not an ignored...

Nah, Tarn's run is over... finished. Megatron's speech to him just before murdering him gave me all the background and closure I'll ever need for him. Stick a fork in him, he's done Yep. Any attempt to reheat him in flashback will suffer from the fact his whole rep was tarnished (ho-ho!) in the fin...

How come there's so little activity in this, a regular MTMTE thread? Were not many people able to get the comic in either form this time around? There's not a peep from Unicron, Warcry, Death's Head and the other regulars. I've two reasons why this hasnt grabbed me. Number one, is that the muddle w...

And that is my thoughts. Not great, but not bad either. Just pointlessly long, when being an economic 90 minutes would have done the job. Its up there with Antman : passable, but not memorable. Seriously, I know I've discussed this with CJ in the Tf Movie threads but is there an actual reason why H...

Just a thought but is possible that Glitch was a big fan of Roller and felt betrayed by Pax when Roller disappeared? And that the Tarn design was a warped homage to a fallen friend? Just a quick point on Roberts calling back to past issues and all that. I'm a fan of this because he generally seems t...
