Re: General LEGO discussion (inc. collectible minifigs)
The Tux and Crasher really get the feel and silhouettes of the originals. :) Not that familiar with the Go-Bot combiners, but Puzzler does seem like a fun project for a hacksaw and some discount store model cars. There weren't many Go-Bot combiners. I think there was just Puzzler and one made of 6 ...

Re: POST YOUR NEWEST ACQUISITIONS!
None yet opened: Buzzworthy Origins Jazz , Wheeljack/Cheetor/Nightbird 3-pack , and Selects Magnificus Still no sign of Tarn. I have seen plenty of Metalhawk and a Twincast, so I may have missed finding Tarn at retail. I can try ordering online, but much prefer to buy in store so I can check for QC ...

Re: POST YOUR NEWEST ACQUISITIONS!
The screwdriver worked pretty well. Thanks. The head's a little snugger than ideal, and tends to force itself back into position if I try to pose it. But, that seems like it's getting better as I fiddle with it. The SS ball joint seems a bit stiffer than the Cyberverse socket, so the head may be adj...

Re: POST YOUR NEWEST ACQUISITIONS!
I popped the heads off. Cyberverse has a smaller ball joint, so I'd need to widen the socket in the head, and I don't have a dremel. Any ideas? I don' see any way to hide/store the head in alt mode. But, you can stick the neck plate out behind the windshield and have the head poking out G1 Scourge s...

Re: POST YOUR NEWEST ACQUISITIONS!
I thought about trying to swap heads with my duplicate Cyberverse Arcee. But, I think that's too big to fit in the gap for transformation.

Re: POST YOUR NEWEST ACQUISITIONS!
Reading about the Japanese businessman fighting the giant red bug-type dude made me think of the first episode of One-Punch Man. SS Bee Movie Arcee - I'd passed on this figure due to the face sculpt. But, Wal-mart clearanced it to $12*, so I gave it a shot. I'm glad I waited. I thought this would be...

Re: Grumpy old men: armchair brand management
After 3 waves, Legacy is now Legacy: Evolution. Siege and Kingdom only lasted a few waves each. Do you think Hasbro's doing this because retailers tend to order a lot of wave 1, so they want to have as many wave 1s as possible? I've seen all 4 Legacy: Evolution wave 1 Deluxes in several stores alre...

Re: POST YOUR NEWEST ACQUISITIONS!
Cyberverse Adventures Wheelgrim - He's OK. Wheeljack's spoiler make the combined form look misassembled when viewed from the front, like the torso is placed too far back. But, looking at the figure from the side, everything lines up. Wheeljack makes slightly better legs than Bee, but nowhere near a...

Re: Your Latest Non-TF Toy Acquisitions
LEGO 31134 Space Shuttle - This is one of those rare Creator sets in which I actually like one of the alternate builds, an astronaut. I planned to build the space shuttle just to see how it looked, then take it apart and build the astronaut. I did, and found that I liked the shuttle more than I tho...

Re: Your Latest Non-TF Toy Acquisitions
Lots of LEGO recently. People complain about the price of LEGO, but even the non-clearance kits I picked up were pretty cheap. I usually see 10 cents per piece as an average price, but these were all well under that. 31140 Magical Unicorn - The only one of these I've opened/built so far. 3 points of...

Re: POST YOUR NEWEST ACQUISITIONS!
After seeing a few Legacy Skullgrin for $35 with sloppy paint apps on the shoulders, a $30 one with nice, crisp paint seemed like close enough to a good enough deal that I bit. I saw Legacy Evolution Deluxes again today, so I may have missed the chance of seeing regular Legacy Deluxes (post wave 1) ...

Re: POST YOUR NEWEST ACQUISITIONS!
While travelling to visit my parents this weekend, I hit 4 walmarts and 4 Targets, and ended up buying 4 TFs, none of which I've opened yet. Velocitron Override - Clearanced to $17. As a fembot whose head sits behind the cockpit of her Cybertronian car altmode, I'm treating this as an OSKO of the Mi...

Re: POST YOUR NEWEST ACQUISITIONS!
Is the Crasher wave finally starting to get saturated in the US, or was finding one a stroke of luck on your end? I don't know if anything can be said to be saturated in the US. I found 3 Crasher and 3 Shadowstrip about 2 months ago at my local Walmart. So, I must've lucked out and got there soon a...

Re: POST YOUR NEWEST ACQUISITIONS!
Assuming they're like the Siege Soundwave, which the remould seems to be from photos, the head's glued but on a ball joint and will pop off quite easily. Just take the shoulder cannon off so it's not in the way, get a good grip and pull up. Generally speaking if there isn't one or more screws pinni...

Re: POST YOUR NEWEST ACQUISITIONS!
Legacy Hauler mostly to give the black head to Grapple, but I do like a generic background bot so Hauler got the Orion Pax head from TR PM Op carved out a bit and stuck to the back of a superfluous FoC Grimlock head. Less than half price in the Kapow sale, which would've been great apart from the o...

Re: Grumpy old men: armchair brand management
Question to throw in -- why does "small" or "combiner part" have to equal shit design? Are kids interested in Legacy Core Dinobots or is it just another strange self-harm thing on Hasbro's part? People seem to be assuming that these will be redone as Dinoking, since that also ha...

Re: Grumpy old men: armchair brand management
If Dragstrip wasn't such a decent figure by itself, I'd see that more... my guess is lots of people will have given up on the idea of getting the whole team when they saw the Motormaster sticker, and sales of that and the other three limbs will suffer. MM getting rapidly remaindered to half price m...

Re: Top 10 Transformers of 2022!
After going through the Newest Acq thread to see how distribution affected my collecting this year, I realized I had enough info for this.
