It is now illegal to joke on the interwebs.

As some of you may have heard, our lovely judicial system yesterday upheld a conviction against somebody for making an off-the-cuff gag on Twitter about blowing up an airport if he wasn't able to make his flight the next week. Crap! Robin Hood airport is closed. You've got a week and a bit to get yo...

The stupid "Wait, you mean you can't actually copyright the term Sci Fi because it's to generic? I wish someone had told us that a decade ago, what can we come up with that's like a retards tx speak version?" name is good enough reason by itself surely? Well, you can't copyright the word ...

Ah, the proper hallmark of the music snob. Quote marks around the word artist.

Wouldn't worry about it, mate. She's probably got even less clue who you are.

One of the (many) things that Mad Men is absolutely wonderful for is showing characters smoking and boozing with reckless abandon. Much as they did in those days. Which makes sense given that a large portion of the program is given over to the characters trying to think up ways of flogging booze and...

Oh, totally, stuff should just be left. There's too much storm-in-a-teacup stuff from lefty PC terrorists now... There's a Dad's Army where they clumsily edit Pike saying the old "catch a ****** by the toe" rhyme. And quite rightly too. If it means one thing now, it meant it then too and ...

Well, depends. The joke as is still works today. The difference is that you're not allowed to be casually racist on the BBC anymore. Unless you're talking about the French/Scottish/Welsh. Not that the gag's even particularly racist. We're just not allowed to say what we think anymore.
