Most energon toys are top of the heap. The only real exceptions are the autobots with the powerlink gimmicks built in (the deluxes and megas). Tow-Line is a big exception to that, though. I think the little omnicons have their charms, but not everyone likes them. Other than that, pretty much anythin...

Energon/Superlink combiner differences
Well, I'm now officially batty for these things... in the past few days I've picked up the available energon versions of the toys. I figured the release schedule is slow enough that I should be able to afford picking them up without any problems. Anyway... The most dispairing difference is that Stor...

The term 'gestalt'--origins?
Does anyone know when this term first started being applied to transformer combiners? Was it something official, or a fan adaptation? I've heard that it's a German word meaning "combine" or "team", but the actual Babelfish translation lists it as "shape". That's within the same ball park, but defina...

It's neat... when I first starting looking for transformers' sites on the internet, I was just browsing for pictures. It was neat to see write-ups of the toys along with them. I can definately say with the armada stuff it got me to buy or avoid some figures. Some other reviews even made me get some ...

I see no real reason to. It's a new line, so they'll recall all the energon stuff, and stick out the US version of the line as soon as energon wraps up. Waves within individual lines lately seem to have been liking, but they are good at stocking different lines altogether. My only consideration is r...

Went holiday shopping today, and saw a Wal-Mart display out for the energon combiner parts (except no sledges anywhere!). Picked up a steamhammer out of boredom, and a slingshot and duststorm for their little energon stars. Also, they'll end up on the pile of my nephew's toys for him to play with sh...

Well, the problem with taking them against the posterboard background is that then I have no point of reference (which I need, because I have no tripod). I suppose I could try cropping the physical dimensions of the pics to something smaller. Then, I might have enough file space to add more frames. ...

I need a tripod for my camera... and maybe shrink the image sizes a little more, so I can use more frames for fluidity's sake. Well, they'll get better.

Bios on the cards included with the toys, now...
Well, I'm going through all the boxes I have saved up, squashing them down and sorting them and whatnot, and I noticed something: On the tech spec card from one of the two Infernos, and he has stats on the back as normal for energon, along with rounded edges to the cards. The other Inferno card has ...
