From what I have gathered, the launch of "Universe/Classics 3.0" will not happen till fall. The first half 2010 will be seeing the wrapping up of RotF and Animated lines with a few sprinkled goods. New lines will not happen till nearer the end of the year. Basically we still have some wait...

I picked up Darkwind (Ultra Silverbolt repaint), Commemorative Perceptor and Commemorative Insecticons at TRU today. Very happy with the gifts for myself this year.

I hope the CE TRU Exclusives continue this year. I would love to see a Blaster, Shockwave or Reflector.

Insert dirty joke here. Really, I don't think I need to spell one out.

A Masterpiece Devastator would absolutely rock. If done correctly. I would also like to see a mold usable for Inferno and Hoist.

The car mode is a good match for Bumblebee. Still, it appears a bit of a fail. Perhaps it will not look so obvious when painted but the seams in car mode just scream for attention more than I like in my Transformers. The Robot mode looks like an egg on stubby legs. Bumblebee as a jolly rolly polly b...

True, the EHobby black versions are just that. Black versions of characters not alternate characters with the same mold. Personally I am in favor of repaints on higher quality molds. Gives more options to the customers and keeps profits up for the company. To me more of the same is better than endin...

If I do get MP Starscream on Wednesday (depends on whether he'll be in stock or not) then I'll probably ignore Skywarp unless he's cheap or MP SS has carked it. Also, do you think there's any chance of MP Megatron making it over here or will customs prevent it (I figure they will). Also hoping for ...

The black Scourge/Nemesis Prime versions generally look decent to me. As a retail price product in the US I would consider it.

If they do a PK or whoever darkwing's evil clone was (I forget, it,s been so long since I've watched that delightfully campy show), then I swear I will move to europe and start a new life as James P. Wallace. A Darkwing would be cool though. A version with a Huey headmaster, a Dewey targetmaster , ...

Didn't they already announce it for Discovery Channel? If they follow the traditional release, we will start seeing the new line as early as next spring to summer. Yeah, Transformers is specifically one of the mentioned franchises announced that will early work will begin on in a few months. So far...

Personally I felt his character and delivery were among the few enjoyable parts of that movie. If you were to edit him out I suspect that movie would have been more boring.

I think Cliffjumper just nailed the confluence of problems right there. The CE Soundwave released a few years ago was probably one of the better reissue releases I've been witness to. It is voyager sized, especially considering the extra Cassette figures, was priced in the same range as modern Voyag...

Reissues generally do not interest me as much as new moulds. Exceptions arise however. I am very stoked about the Insecticons. I hope there is no damage in that release as with the Encore Bruticus. Some reissues are just... unique in various ways or iconic. A complete set of any year of G1 is rather...

I agree with everyone on wanting a new combiner mold rather than just a redeco. Menasor would be my top pick among those. I would not even mind purchasing them as individual releases if it came down to that.

A great clip. I love that. As for the issue of not enough Raptors. Seriously? What situations are we talking about here? The US goes to war with the rest of the world. Alien invasion. Secret army of robots hidden beneath the Earth's surface. Atlantis rising. A few dozen Godzillas. Ragnarok. Reign of...

I would prefer new Classics figures over reissues. Though I still DEMAND a US reissue Blaster. My demands unfortunately go unheeded. New moulds or remoulds are acceptable. Simple redecos seem a bit lacking for most Classics figures and should just be part of the other Universe sub-lines.

http://www.defensetech.org/archives/004800.html An interesting opinion on the subject there. Basically, the original plans for an F22 fleet was intended to counter a future (from the 1980s perspective) in which Chinese and Soviet air threats would be a consistent menace that we actually fought over...

Your concepts for Classics reimaginings

One reason I loved the Classics line is it was a G1 style updated to modern toys and sensibilities. Also necessary updates because of issues in using images or names. Not ever toy has been perfect, but only a few of the concepts have seem wrong to me. What concepts would you propose for older charac...
