I think I could be the rare few who didn't like mtmte.
I just happen to like my transformers stories take themselves seriously and mtmte was just too jokey for my taste

I don't read reviews either, I like discovering things for myself. Trailers do convince me to try things though, I have to say (i don't think I'd have thought about watching say, In Bruges or Q The Winged Serpent otherwise :swirly:) Oh I stopped depending on trailers. Ever so often, the trailer eit...

I'm more like Cliffy. I tend to read reviews afterward and just go see what I want based on what I've seen before, even if it's just to see how an actor/actress does in a movie. There is one caveat though. I love bad movies. Not movies that try to be bad, but movies where the cast and crew gave it ...

Wait, wasn't Shockwave one big set-up to Escalation? The Spotlights lost their way when they became a defacto secondary plot, in my opinion. Yes but the focus was on introducing shockwave. His motivations, his personality, and his role in the bigger picture. We get an insight to his thinking proces...

Oh dear. The megatron spotlight sounds like its returning to the dark days of furman's style of spotlights. Meaning that it serves merely as either a lead in to an ongoing plot or as filler rather than a character centered solo adventure of a revelation about a characters past or hidden motivations ...

At my LCS I've seen plenty of copies of The Death of Optimus Prime, MTMTE and RID #1-9, the annuals, and Regeneration One #81-84 sitting on the shelf. At this same store I bought off the shelf DC's Batwoman #1-3, 5, and 7-12. seriously? Im getting it totally different here. TF is always sold out if...

Mars Attacks is absurd enough as it is. Zombies with TFs, fine Chuthulu with TFs, ok Big headed midget martians with TF? Thats where i draw the line. With McCartney on board, its going to be a Story-lite, action focused mess like AHM. Who knows, maybe we'll see the debut of Drift's brother or some o...

What tends to be forgotten is that back when Dreamwave cam a-knocking, Furman was no longer a full time comics writer. The relaunch of the franchise basically gave him that career back (out of everything he's done since, I'd say Death's Head III is the only job he'd have definitely got without havi...

What's Uwe Boll doing these days? Now that u mention it, there are a lot of similarities between uwe boll adapting games and Michael bay adapting tf. Both threw out everything except some names and the core concept. Both included crude sexual humor. Both favor style over substance Both impose too m...

Thanks for all the suggestions, guys. That's...uh...that's a lot of stuff. I suppose I'll have to make a list and slowly work my way down it. My tastes are literally the exact opposite. Older or more lighthearted takes on the character I can enjoy in crossovers, but modern Batman takes itself so se...

Dark empire is more known for its moody and atmospheric artwork than its dialogue. The tales of the Jedi books aren't too bad. Blends sci if and fantasy quite nicely as well as giving a appropriately archaic look to a star wars universe 2000 years ago. Unlike the old republic games. They are split i...

Regeneration: something doesn't make sense? Isn't scorponok dead? Or at least no longer evil? Hurray to the return of transformers spotlights, the only gf comics that I have picked up in single issue form. Maybe this will explain how Orion pax went from how me looked in spotlight blur to how he look...
