Re: Latest Music Purchases.

Music! Amaranthe - 'Helix' (2018) Bombastic orchestral metal with three different singers! Although I can't tell the two fellas apart, as they're both of the shouty/ growly type. It's very grandiose and sweeping, yet pulverising and stabby at the same time. I like it, but then I listen to a lot of t...

Re: So I'm pretty much out of the fandom at this point

The comic was always better than the cartoon :P Although I do like the Budiansky-like flights of fancy that make up most of Season 3, where it's all f** the war, lets have mad adventures.

Re: Siege Optimus Prime

Thanks for that! I hadn't spotted that. Fixed :) The kibble here really isn't as bothersome as it looks. I agree it should be possible to eliminate it entirely - the G1 figure is only a few joints away from being as articulated as a modern toy, after all. It's the pursuit of a robot mode that looks ...

Re: POST YOUR NEWEST ACQUISITIONS!

Siege Refraktor Reconnaissance 3 Pack (Spectro, Spyglass & Viewfinder) I honestly wasn't going to bother with Refraktor. The retail release didn't do anything for me and cartoon homages have me on sleep mode. But having a stupid busy and stressful time whilst the rest of the country is on lockdown ...

Re: OFFICIAL TRANSFORMERS TOYS NEWS

Yup, after what, the Classics/ Generations era ones, the Combiner Wars Legends and Leader class versions, the Siege Tetrajets and now Siege Earthrise versions, I've had my fill of the Starscream/Skywarp/Thundercracker Seekers. I'd love to see the Coneheads get some love. Maybe they'll turn up in wha...

Re: So I'm pretty much out of the fandom at this point

Skyquake----yay hi! Hope when all the current situation finishes you can take the 20 min train ride between us and drop by for a coffee/TF meet up! I would like that - it's been a while! I feel similar to you and Warcry - the internet was a foreign country to me in the late C20, so I liked followin...

I find it hard to muster much enthusiasm for toys of the Autobot and Decepticon leaders, as they're so ubiquitous. ...

Re: So I'm pretty much out of the fandom at this point

Aww thanks, Auntie Slag :) And hello Knightdramon! Good to hear from you again. I think as life moves on, it is harder to keep the enthusiasm going. I'm exhausted from work at the moment, as it's a strange and stressful time, but it's nice to come here and just blah. Even if I don't have anything in...

Re: Latest Music Purchases.

The B-52s are AMAZING. One of the greatest bands ever in the world ever. I love their 'Mesopotamia' and 'Whammy' albums, still to track down their first one, so thanks for the nod! Found some amusing mash-ups with them and Slayer and Slipknot on YouTube, which work better than they should (Search 'R...

Boris has told us all to stay indoors now, after everyone went outside at the weekend without thinking.

Re: Doctor Who Series 12 Thread

I could do without Gallifrey too. I liked that it was kept in the distance in the classic run. It is a bit disappointing to have it all smashed up again, but it's only the Timelord citadel that's been done in, not the entire planet (at least that how it looked to me), so there's scope to tell differ...

Re: Covid 19 / everybody PANDEMIC

I've read some stuff shows that pollution levels in China and Italy have dropped, and the rivers in Venice have improved in quality. So there's some good news that limited human activity helps improve things for the environment. Bet climate change deniers love that... :P Been out for a walk today, w...

Name: Storm Cloud & Vipser Allegiance: Decepticon Size Class: Micromasters The Decepticon Air Strike Patrol were an awesome group of bully boys. We've just massively scaled back on all the work we're doing, just concentrating on urgent water supply and sewerage supply issues. Which is fine, but meant we've cancelled all non-essential work, which includes fitting meters to help customers reduce their bills (for those unaware, due to the gradu...

Those two look really cool! I'll keep an eye out for them. Although I expect I'll be disappointed by the price point. Cyberverse toys seem very expensive for what they are.

Yeah, also intentionally screwing employers out of business insurance by not mandating closures. Which I'm pleased to see they've thought about a bit overnight. Just been checking my emails and it's full of businesses saying they're closing until whenever. We got told at work today that as we're an...

Re: Siege Spinister

Spinister is awesome. One of the best of the Siege line. Have to say, I've generally not minded the price hike for Siege (with one or two exceptions) as the figures have, overall, felt like quality bits of work (although I've really kept to characters I want). I certainly feel better paying this sor...
