Re: Latest DVD Purchases

The Howling is bloody awesome! Haven't seen that for years. Sequels are all awful though.

Re: OFFICIAL TRANSFORMERS TOYS NEWS

...Yellow and Silver was my first thought for Centurion. Then I remembered everyone's only interested in the cartoon. Not really interested myself. Brunt is probably my least favourite of the Weaponizers, and the box of things that should have come with other figures isn't enough of a draw for me. I...

Re: Covid 19 / everybody PANDEMIC

That sucks, Heinrad, but I'm glad you've managed to find new employment so quickly! Here in England (not Britain, as Wales and Scotland are still being a bit more cautious), our relaxed lockdown restrictions and sunny weather saw social distancing go out the window so people could pile onto beaches,...

Re: POST YOUR NEWEST ACQUISITIONS!

Cyberverse Lazerbeak Blast Soundwave Random find in discounters Home Bargains for £8.99 (just him and Bumblebee on the shelf). I've had such a stupid amount of fun with this toy :swirly: It's a fairly basic Deluxe toy but has a fun gimmick - turning the shoulder cannon assembly makes Lazerbeak pop ...

Re: Covid 19 / everybody PANDEMIC

I think once the 2m is relaxed to accommodate pubs etc then other businesses will want to follow suit. Knowing Boris' dunderheadedness, it'll probably be for every business anyway so we can shop our way out of economic disaster. Although with what money, I don't know. I'm excited for Scorponok. I've...

Re: Power Of The Primes Sinnertwin

See, I like you boffins who know this stuff! All I think is 'well this doesn't feel as good as xxx which does the same transforming' I am a bit sad that the Terrocons are so wibbly. They look really good, but just aren't as great as I'd hoped. I'm also unimpressed by that pretty much all the...

Re: Latest DVD Purchases

I've bought up a few BBC comedy shows aired over the last 20 years pulled from online services for various shades of perceived racism, before they're erased from history. The Mighty Boosh (for the 'spirit of Jazz' - not really racist, but cultural appropriation for surreal musical comedy purposes) a...

Re: Covid 19 / everybody PANDEMIC

Aye, we still don't have vaccines for Ebola, HIV and earlier strains of SARS, so it's going to be treating the symptoms more than anything else. Went into Leeds yesterday (after a walk along the canal and some woods to get there) to do something relatively normal and have a look in some shops. Most ...

Re: POST YOUR NEWEST ACQUISITIONS!

Studio Series 49 Bumblebee Hard to believe it's taken 49 entries to get to Bumblebee's modern day Camaro alt-mode in this line. Worth the wait though. He's quite small and a bit fiddly to transform, but it's well executed. It keeps the overall transformational layout of recent Bumblebee figures in ...

Re: POST YOUR NEWEST ACQUISITIONS!

Earthrise Sky Lynx Cor, he's a big lad. Or lads. It's so nice to get a large Transformer figure from Hasbro that feels like it weighs something. Vehicle modes are really nice done and the robot modes are great fun. The point of contact between the shuttle and transport doesn't feel particularly sec...

Re: So I'm pretty much out of the fandom at this point

I think we have a fetish for the past in this country because we miss ruling most of the planet, and that continues to feed through into both our society and our politics - this business of thinking we're somehow better than others or thinking we're better able to deal with things, rather than facin...

Re: So I'm pretty much out of the fandom at this point

That link is awesome Denyer, thanks for sharing. Totally agree that people need to accept that we're all a bundle of contrariness and that people can hold conflicting values and opinions on things and that is normal. I've found the whole business with statues and TV shows deeply depressing as the co...

Re: Requiem of the Wreckers...where can I get it??

I was going to suggest the Wreckers Saga Trade, as that's got all 3 Wreckers stories in it, but it seems to be insanely rare already. Which is funny, as it's got a printing error leaving 1 page with no dialogue balloons. The Hachette partwork might be your best bet now.
