Re: Official manga translations!

I'd like to give these a whirl, I'm not too familiar with the Japanese Manga :)

The original version of the figure was known as Firebolt and came packed ...

Re: General LEGO discussion (inc. collectible minifigs)

I love that set. It looks so cool. I see Lego have finally cottoned onto the growing market for bootleg superhero minifigures and done a collectible series of DC superheroes https://www.lego.com/en-gb/product/dc-s ... ries-71026

Re: Your Latest Non-TF Toy Acquisitions

All the Lego Movie 2 and UniKitty sets have been slashed to 'please take us!' prices. Not really surprising as the LM2 range was a bit weird and the film didn't perform as well as expected (more than likely due to the sharp drop off in novelty). Anyway! I got: Lego Movie 2 70827 Ultrakatty & Warrior...

Re: NEWEST ACQUISITIONS!

Energon Unicron Who needs a $600 figure when there's this version out there?! I was always fond of Armada Unicron but sold mine on some years ago. Having now got the blue and orange Primus from The Last Knight, I had a hankering for a Unicron. But one of the funny coloured ones. The green one is si...

Re: Official Transformers new/upcoming releases! Hasbro, TakaraTomy and more

I'm looking forward to Scorponok. I'm not too fussed that he doesn't come with any accessories (less to loose, for one thing), just so long as his head is in proportion with his body. I'm guessing Fast Track will be another weponiser, which is fine, but hope he's not going to be grey all over. That ...

Doctor Who Series 12 Thread

Thought I'd crank this up, as I've been keeping up with the Doctor. After the first series of Jodie Whittaker's series took a more earnest and budget-friendly tone with it's lack of monsters, this has tapped back into the more popcorn elements the show had over a decade ago. The first two episodes w...

Re: Movie thread, or; what movie did you watch last?

Aliens is like a lot of '80s action films - they're like evergreens, as fresh now as they were at the time. I watched a really good crime caper with Helen Mirren and Ian McEllan in before Xmas, but I can't remember the name of it. Curses. Saw it at the pictures and everything. I watched Fighting Wit...

Re: NEWEST ACQUISITIONS!

Some more Energon Goodies! (there's a pun there, I'm sure...) Deluxe Towline I was charmed by this toy having watching Thew's review on him. He's a really nice toy with some fun gimmicks, just ruined by an odd mix of red, white, blue, gold, black, white and olive green. As with Machine Wars Optimus ...

Re: NEWEST ACQUISITIONS!

Siege Micromasters Swindler, Roadhandler, Topshot & Flak Okay. These are much better than Stormcloud and Vhisper. As much fun as the originals, just a little let down by cheap, clip on plastic wheels and being a tiny bit over-engineered for their size. They have the same problems as those late wave...

Re: NEWEST ACQUISITIONS!

Energon was my favourite too. The colour palette used for the Decepticons was great - all greens, purples and blacks with translucent highlights - and I really liked the designs. Even the chunky looking Autobots have their charms. I like the idea of mix and match weapons much more than I do spring-l...

Re: NEWEST ACQUISITIONS!

I've been a bit fatigued by the endless G1 navel-gazing of the recent Geewunerations lines, so been looking back into the distant backness of the early twenty-first century when Hasbro were trying new things with Transformers (er, to a degree). Energon Battle Ravage Neat beast mode (aside from the f...

Re: TOY REVIEW CLAIMS THREAD

Right, I've done Siege Hound. My plan is to tackle the whole first wave, so I'll do Ultra Magnus and then (in no particular order) Flywheels, Shockwave, Megatron, Cog, Optimus and the two Battlemasters and 3 sets of Micromasters. That post up there reminds me I still need to do pictures for Cordon. ...

Re: Official Transformers new/upcoming releases! Hasbro, TakaraTomy and more

It feels too soon to be giving us new versions of characters we've only had the year before. I was hoping we'd have more Cybertronian-based stuff. Can't blame Hasbro, though. They know we'll all be happily shelling out for yet more G1 versions of Optimus and the Seekers all over again, so why not pu...

2019 was a lean year for reviews, so I'm going to try and pick up the slack and get some done this year!
