The Thirty Greatest Characters!

Introduction

Regular readers of the site will remember than in January 2014 we launched a poll to find the 30 most popular Transformers of all time (because it's the 30th anniversary, you see what we did there?), the preamble for which can be read HERE.

After just over a month of voting, we had close to 2100 different character votes from around 100 people. Our resident genius Warcry put them all in a big maths blender, calculating both the number of votes each character received and their average position in the ranking, at the end of which he had created the utterly definitive list of your favourite characters.

Over the next few months our crack team of writers will take you through the full list, complete with quotes from those of you that were kind enough to provide them. There are some real surprises in here (well, unless you're one of the people who voted for them of course), as well as many of the big name hitters. Will your favourite be there? Will you be left scratching the side of your head going "Which idiot voted for that one?" There's only one way to find out as we delve into the greatest collection of giant robot heroes and villains ever assembled.
