Mayhem Attack Squad

Spinister

Function: Mayhem Attack Squad Commander

Solitary and reserved, Spinister is a mystery to his fellow Decepticons. Though fervently patriotic and sometimes ruthless, he shows no sign of the sadism or vainglory that infect other Decepticon officers. Professional and calm, gets the job done and gets his troops out in one piece. Not malicious but quite pragmatic, and he will commit massively immoral acts if that's the easiest route to his objective. Indifferent to his Nebulan Targetmasters Singe and Hairsplitter.

Battletrap

Function: Assault Team

A member of the original Mayhem Attack Squad, Battletrap suspects he was only asked to join the newly reassembled version because Spinister wanted to avoid the perception of favouritism (he's right). But in spite of his doubts he's an effective fighter. Playful, he likes to tag-team an enemy between his two vehicle modes, batting them around for his own amusement before closing in for the kill.

Divebomb

Function: Aerial Assault

Hugely effective but easily bored. Divebomb was brought into the team because of the way he kept coming out on top in his ongoing rivalry with the Dinobot Swoop. He's incredibly happy to no longer have to spend time with the other surviving Predacons, who he utterly loathes. He's not much more fond of Spinister or the other Mayhems, but he doesn't need to combine with them so it considers them a huge step up.

Needlenose

Function: Aerial Warrior

Needlenose is young and impressionable, and the one who made the biggest impression is Spinister. He looks up to the elder Decepticon as a father figure, who took him from a mincing coward to an effective warrior and leader. Serves as a check on his leader, holding him back when he ponders acts that would be considered attrocities even by Decepticon standards. Quick to make friends: the glue that holds together any unit he joins. Sunbeam and Zigzag are his Targetmasters.

Ruckus

Function: Combat Assault

What Ruckus lacks in power he more than makes up for in gumption. Nothing short of death can stop the smallish Decepticon, who has been known to keep fighting with multiple limbs missing. Deeply loyal to Megatron, and sees serving in his elite commando unit as a chance to repay his master for giving him a chance to contribute. His complete disregard for his own well-being makes him a great fit for the job.

Treadshot

Function: Gunslinger

An amoral, arrogant sniper, Treadshot considers himself above most of his fellow Decepticons. He likes to kill and he loves the notoriety that his job brings. None of his fellows like him, but he doesn't care. When someone needs shooting he's still the one they call to pull the trigger. Their tacit acknowledgement of his deadly skill is all he wants out of life, and his selection as a Mayhem was the ultimate recognition of that.

Windsweeper

Function: Air Defence

A petty, perfectionist authoritarian, Windsweeper thinks he sees a kindred spirit in his commander. Spinister, for his part, is disgusted by the notion -- though he definitely has fascist tendencies, the Mayhem leader does what he does for the cause and not his own selfish gratification. But be that as it may, Windsweeper definitely has a place in the unit -- his meticulous nature and malicious inflexibility make him an excellent sentry and warrior.
