You know? That's one of those perfect repaints that no one ever thinks about and then Hasbro just whips it out and the townsfolk rejoice!

Amazing, they have an instruction manual and an illustration on the box, and they still manage to mistransform him in all three modes.

Bumblebee's "helmet/mask" makes sense, as does Prime's mouthpiece...but why does the middle of Sideswipe's face lift up? So strange...other than that, I really like the figure - shame he didn't really have any conversation in the movie so we could find a personality. He filled the role of a "Decepticon weapons platform" but for the Autobots

I kinda see him as cocky based on the "Damn I'm good!" line.

I think these human alliance figures really illustrate just how much cheating is going on in the transformation of the CGI models.

Yeah, but there's not really supposed to be any illusion of scale, even with the movie toys. Human Alliance Sideswipe, for example, is positively monstrous next to Barricade.

...the HA figures aren't meant to be the same scale as the deluxes; the photo of sideswipe with barricade is just to give an idea of general toy size (as with frenzy in the above shot)

The HA toys are about Alternators-size in vehicle mode.

New: Wal*Mart exclusive pack. Unchanged (?) Legends Class Sideswipe and Mudflap with a redeco of 2007 movie Dreadwing, colored like G2 Hooligan, named "Fearswoop" (European fans might remember that name).

Hmmm . . . shame they didn't use a better jet for the Hooligan color scheme. I like the tiger stripes, but the Dreadwing mold is just not that great that I'd want to pick up a second one.

Makes sense. I was expecting a mite taller, but now that I think about it it kind of makes sense.

im guessing they used the 'sam' uman figure as the standard heght to measure out the cars (or scaled him to fit bumblebee, either way)

and then they were kinda stuck with figures of a matching height/build, forgeting that epps is rather larger than sam, what with the muscle, and the tyrese, and the armour and all. thus leaving you with a slightly smaller scale epps than sam.

as a for-instance, im guessing HA epps is about the same height as HA michaela, despite the two obviously not being the same size in reality.

Fantastic! The only horrific bit is Devastator's face just hanging off Mixmaster. Otherwise, capital.

Agreed. As for the individual units, Scrapper's robot mode looks cool, as opposed to the rest of them. And what the hell does the crane turn into?
I would guess Devastator is about the size of a deluxe. I want one.

That is really really cool! I will definately be picking that up. And he's no bigger than Skids!

This will be the only Legends figures I'm going to get from the movie besides Scorpinok and Wheelie (and Frenzy and Scalpel...if they ever make those).

And after seeing this, I have to second: Scrapper is really cool. I hope they do a Deluxe or Voyager version of him sometime. Overload is pretty cool too. I could do without Hook (or Hightower, or whatever).

Buster Optimus; he's big in Japan

Basically the new leader toy with new/modified gas tanks that pop off to become one (1) rifle, and an open faced, no mouth-plate head. Also shiny and super blinged-out, apparently.

I like the Sideswipe because of the guns he's carrying as well as he's robot and vehicle modes.

Legends Dev looks to be the only Legends figure I've liked so far [EDIT: From the movie that is. I've liked the Cybertron/Classics/TFU releases I've got]. Individual bot modes on all except Demolisher and Scrapper aren't that interesting to me, but that's why I picked up the deluxe and voyager releases (can't wait for Long Haul, and I hope they eventually release toys for the other three even if Scrapper's the only one of the ones not revealed yet who actually was in the movie). So he'll stay in Dev mode.
