Custom Sunstreaker

Post by Treadshot A1 »

Had a spare CYB Clocker, and thought i'd kitbash him into Sunstreaker. A bit different to the original, but the removable engine, and the windscreen, looks like the G1 'streaker's.

Constructive criticism would be appreciated (barring the bad paint lines, had trouble with the paint seeping under every type of tape i tried).

Nifty! Have any pictures of the robot?

For cleaner paint lines, try painter's tape. It works perfectly with an airbrush kit, but can also help with brush painting if you're applying paint very lightly.

Bot mode pics! Wif and wifout weapon. I'd like some advice on how to remove Clocker's head, or would i just need to paint it Sunstreaker colours?(I don't have dremels, airbrushes (think they're illegal in AUS), etc. so i need a simple solution.)

That looks pretty good. For the head--I'm not sure what to do there. I would suggest trying to pry out the light piping from the back of his head, as there might be better access to the other side of that pin. But I couldn't be sure.

Usually, you can try to heat the pin head with a soldering pen. If the other side of the pin isn't capped off, the head should slide right off once it's good and hot.

Otherwise, you'll have to get creative with the head you have.

Head done! Just painted Clocker's, couldn't get it off, unfortunately.

Again, sorry, bad camera...

Hey! I like this little guy. That mould works well as Sunstreaker, I think.

Nice work!
