Have any customs you want to post pics of?
After doing most of the standard sets, I happened to fall into a MEGA HUGE vat of Lego from a friend who wanted to clean out her son's old toys. There was no way I was going to turn it down; I'm knee deep in them as I type! (well, ankle deep really. and I'm sitting down.) So, I thought about a few creations I wanted to do.....first was the Micronauts Hornetroid, and I did do something.....but was extremely disgusted with it, so I figured something maybe a little bit easier. Here it is: ![]() basically, just a brick, but I was happy with it. I was thinking about doing a doll size Grievous by bastardizing some of the Bionicle sets that are currently on sale at TRU, but when I really looked at them, it was like they already made Grievous. Kinda given up on that.Anyone else have some customs they would like to share?

Hehehe, that's AWESOME. Chunky robots FTW!
I badly need to get pictures of all my Lego... I tend to tweak and modify more than I outright custom (largely because, with Town, there are decent models available for most things), but here are a few anyway: - Grand Prix Pace Car http://counter-x.net/lego/customs/pa...finished4.html Oil Rig (old set made Minifig compatible) http://counter-x.net/lego/customs/oi...finished3.html Cinema http://counter-x.net/lego/customs/designs/cinema2.html Flying Boat http://counter-x.net/lego/customs/de...yingboat1.html Church http://counter-x.net/lego/customs/designs/church1.html I've got a City Hall that demands photography, and Sar banged up quite a nice castle-cum-museum to house all the fancy bits I've accumulated through Bricklink (I am printed/shiny bricks' bitch)... We're switching to the main bedroom over the next couple of weeks, so in between her tidying up all the Barbie stuff that's taken over the floor and us redecorating I'm hoping to negotiate an afternoon where I can get in there and do some sort of visual catalogue of all my town models, set and custom. Oh, and my not-at-all-unconvinving Lego Rocketeer. Short version: Lego rocks.

Truth be told, I've been accessing your site more than any other in the past two weeks, and I fell in love with that Oil Rig. Just working off a visual gives you major Lego cred, IMHO. class A job, Cliff. RE: the Gonk Droid, the feet actually "gonk" back and forth. I loved that droid as a kid. I'm still thinking about getting a few of the large Bionicle Figures to mess around with on the concept of making a Grievous, but there are other sets I would much rather spend money on, specifically the Mars Mission ones.

(Big Pic) Here is a link to the mess I inherited: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...s/legomess.jpg I know I have way more than enough pieces to do something worthwhile, basically it comes down to finding some directions on a "base" type set that I wouldn't need any special pieces for. Aesthetically, I like that Oil Rig and would like to build a space version of it, making the upper half a base. Then I could have the smaller vehicles come in line and park underneath. I would totally rip apart the Gonk Droid for more parts; I have a pic of it, I did it, onto something new. Problem is: I was kind of set back with my Hornetroid disaster, thinking "Man, I cannot do this stuff. Don't have the intelligence to figure it out." and all sorts of self defeating attitudes and what not. I mean, I have been going to a Lego Outlet in Natick, MA to buy some hard to find sets, and they have all these homemade display pieces of like the ****ing statue of Liberty and all sorts of cool stuff and I end up saying "I could never do something that cool and artistic." My own issue, I know, but I figure I best stick with something that has directions. I've been spending quite a while at Lugnet as well, reviewing the sets that you sent me in a PM a while back. Great Resource, and thanks much for giving me the url. Probably would never had found it on my own. Favor to ask: if you ever do get construction directions made for that, let me know.

Didn't you send me the LDraw files for that, like, three years ago or something? Obviously I suck at Legoing... Quote:
