Anyone else seen the Mainframe Spiderman on TV?

Post by Savannahtron »

They have a series on MTV of Spiderman. More geared toward adult watchers.

I got to see 2 eps today, one with Electro, and the other with Lotus.

In both, people were killed, and Lotus got to cut off someone's finger, and they showed it in the gun after she cut it off.

Not too bad of a story line, although the characters do look a little like their Showtime one as far as the human characters go.

Man I wish they would bring Mainframe back to the TF world.

I saw the Lotus episode. The animation was kinda cheesy, but I'll have to watch a few more episodes. Is it based on the movie?

Mainframe? Arent those the people that did reboot, BW, and BM? Cool...

I shall need to watch it - what times is it on? (I know it will be your areas times, but generally I would think would be similar in my location)
He's alive. Go figure.

10:00 PM Fridays on MTV, I believe. I saw it on Saturday, at 9:00 though.

I saw both those episodes today too, pretty good. Serious, adult story, not bad people animation but the buildings need work.

Does anyone know if the series will be picked up by any Canadian stations?

Yes, I believe YTV will be airing it this fall. I saw the first ep and it wasn't that great but maybe it will get better.

From what I can tell, it's partly based after the movie. I remember Harry Osbourne saying that Spiderman killed his father.

Rob Zombie is apparently voicing the Lizard.

Though I haven't seen the show yet, I'm glad to hear that it's geared fairly strongly toward the comic contingent, a fan base rather summarily ignored by the movie.

I'm glad it's coming to Canada. Got some impressive voice talent, too.
